New York Times best-selling sensation Susan Mallery returns to Fool's Gold, California, where it's true that sometimes you have to kiss a few frogs.…
Former pro-football kicker Sam Ridge has notoriously bad luck with women - from cheaters to fame chasers. Still, the gorgeous brunette at the bar in Fool's Gold looks harmless - until she takes him home and he discovers a room devoted to securing a man, for life.
Dellina Hopkins never guessed that storing gowns from a friend's bridal boutique would chase away her first and only fling. After her parents died, she skipped her "wild youth" to raise her sisters. She doesn't want forever from Sam, but one night - all night - would've been nice.
His clean getaway gets messy when his firm hires Dellina to plan an event. As long hours lead to late nights, the two succumb to temptation again. Has Sam's luck finally changed? Or this time, will Dellina be the one to run?

I like that the narrator is the same for the whole series. It's easier to enjoy listening when I'm used to the voice of someone who has already established themselves as the characters in previous books.
The outrageous behavior of Sam's mother. Also, I like that Susan Mallery has set the stage for the next book by introducing characters that I know will have their own story soon.
When Dellina has dinner with Sam's parents and sees that Sam did not exaggerate his mother's bluntness.
A true community of friends.
Absolutely freaking awesome
Lark omg I wanna be just like her
I think she did a great job with all the characters
Second chances are worth taking
Before We Kiss
This story was exceptional, as always the author delivers a heartfelt story full of love and all the ups and downs that come with it. Characters you'll love and a town that makes you feel welcome and at home add a small town feel to this book. Humor, romance and some downright sexy characters make this an ideal romance read. Sam and Delinas story is one of misunderstanding and how to find your way back while dealing with family issues ( Lark rocks) and other events from the past and learning to let go and taking a chance on love. Can't wait to see more of this series!
One of the best--I like easy listens for driving and biking and this one fit the bill
Who doesn't love Sam?
Flow is good, light and easy
Yes, unfortuantely couldn't
"Rubbish plot. Creepy narration for hero!"
Love this sort of thing usually, but this was awful, lame plot and the voice for the hero was ridiculously creepy. I couldn't get to the end even though I tried. Have taken off all Susan Mallory from my wishlist. Very disappointing.
