Since Jeremiah Cortez broke her heart, Phoebe Keller has devoted herself to her career. As an expert in Native American culture, she has her doubts when an anthropologist claims to have discovered priceless artifacts on a nearby reservation. But before Phoebe can pursue the matter, the professor in question turns up dead — and the FBI sends Cortez to investigate. Cortez thought he’d left the past behind him — especially his history with Phoebe. Once, she’d sparked his world-weary soul…but he’d had to walk away. Now, seeing the blonde beauty digs up feelings he’d thought buried for good. But he must keep his emotions in check — he has secrets…and one of them revolves around a child with eyes as dark as his own. As they find themselves entangled in a world of conspiracy and deception, they’ll discover something more powerful than anything they’ve ever known — love.

Most of these books are my wife's
This book is about a true love that is torn apart by a twist of fate. The man in this I keep wanting to smack upside the head.
You follow the two lovers through a murder investigation and them coming to terms with their past. It has its ups and downs but is a good listen.
I have listened to this one, several times over... I have most of the authors audio books, and this is by far, my favorite.
Jeremiah was a favorite of mine, and such passion......and I really liked that he was a Native American.. I chuckled at his father's gifting, quite amazing!!!
She was great with them all... With some female readers, it's hard to get into the story due to their voices, but not CP... They were all very distinct, really added to this story. Very enjoyable listening.
Yes! Yes! Yes!
Would like to read ( audio- that is) more Native American romances.
I really enjoy all her books. The way she writes you can just picture it all in your mind. These are the kind of books I can read or listen to more than once.
The story really dragged and there were sections of text that were repeated through out the book. I found the book boring and kept waiting for it to get better. I eventually made through all eight hours of the reading but it was painful.
This is one of a series that diana palmer has written .
