Publisher's summary

The Beautiful Disaster and Walking Disaster phenomenon continues in the first heart-pounding new adult romance in The Maddox Brothers series.

Fiercely independent Camille "Cami" Camlin gladly moved on from her childhood before it was over. She has held down a job since before she could drive, and moved into her own apartment after her freshman year of college. Now tending bar at The Red Door, Cami doesn’t have time for much else besides work and classes, until a trip to see her boyfriend is cancelled, leaving her with a first weekend off in almost a year.

Trenton Maddox was the king of Eastern State University, dating co-eds before he even graduated high school. His friends wanted to be him, and women wanted to tame him, but after a tragic accident turned his world upside down, Trenton leaves campus to come to grips with the crushing guilt.

Eighteen months later, Trenton is living at home with his widower father, and works full-time at a local tattoo parlor to help with the bills. Just when he thinks his life is returning to normal, he notices Cami sitting alone at a table at The Red.

As the baby sister of four rowdy brothers, Cami believes she’ll have no problem keeping her new friendship with Trenton Maddox strictly platonic. But when a Maddox boy falls in love, he loves forever - even if she is the only reason their already broken family could fall apart.

In the first installment of the Maddox Brothers books, listeners can experience the rush of hearing Beautiful Disaster for the first time, all over again.

Beautiful start

Great first book in this series. I loved and hated ( the ones you needed to) every character and really enjoyed the story. Narration was awesome. I hope that the next book in the series will come out in audio format soon. I would recommend this book to anyone.

The book was romantic with a little suspense. Great flow to the story and the characters were quite funny.

Beautifully Brilliant

WHAT! WHAT! WHAT! #HeadSpinning I will not post any spoilers but I must say, "WOW I DID NOT SEE THAT COMING!!!"

I have been looking forward to this book all year and I have to say that Jamie is absolutely brilliant! It was everything that I wished and hoped for and soooo much more!!!!! It did not disappoint at all. My mind is blown!

As soon as I finished I just sat there dumbfounded and confused and blown away. It look me awhile to recover and get the wheels turning. I instantly thought, "OMG! I need to read that AGAIN!!" Not because you have too but because I want too!

Absolutely brilliant work Jamie!!! BOB kept me enthralled, entertained, on the edge of my seat,
laughing, clapping, some time high five'n and of course swooning!!!!

I have yet to meet a Maddox I didn't love! #TrentIsLikeWhoa is right! And I absolutely adored and loved Cami!!

Awesome job Jamie!!!! Two words for this review.... BEAUTIFULLY BRILLIANT!!

A definite MUST read and read again!! Love it!

Her best yet The perfect summer listen

Where does Beautiful Oblivion rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I never give listens rankings. This book is more mature. No eye.rolling or "She said he said" you meet a woman who speaks her Truth. Forget any cry-baby pages . This lady knows how to stand-up for herself. My favorite by the author so far. It is better written and if you are digging her earlier books: Grab it! New to the author? You do not need the other stories to enjoy this.

What other book might you compare Beautiful Oblivion to and why?

Walking disaster, beautiful disaster, who asked you, out of easy. They all contain great stories about interesting characters. Who asked you? Is in a league of it's own.

What about Phoebe Strole’s performance did you like?

Sounded a little too much like Emma Galvin..; that is not a bad thing. The characters should have sounded a bi older.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

" The secret brother"

Any additional comments?

Perfect summer listen. Credit worthy for any girl over 18. Not like 50 shades a all. However does sadly contain a few adult scenes. You can pass them if you prefer they do not contain any info..They have been added to include 50.fans. In my opinion.

Good Book

I enjoy Jamie McGuire books. I am looking forward to the next in the series.

PS at the end, I’m not sure how the nurse ended up at the pound where Camille car was towed but a good book never the less. 👀

Another JM book I enjoyed. Have to say the ending was surprising…certainly didn’t put that together.
