Your wedding day is supposed to be the happiest day of your life, right? That's what they say, at least. I went into that day hoping I'd get the happiest day of my life. What I got? The worst. I mean, you really can't get any worse of a day without someone actually dying. So...I may have gotten just a little drunk, and maybe just a tad impetuous...and landed myself in a dive bar somewhere in Alaska, alone, still in my wedding dress, half wasted and heartbroken.
Eight brothers, one bar. Sounds like the beginning to a bad joke, yeah? I kinda think so. Wanna hear another joke? A girl walks into a bar, soaking wet and wearing a wedding dress. I knew I shouldn't have touched her. She was hammered, for one thing, and heartbroken for another. I've chased enough tail to know better. That kinda thing only leads to clinginess, and a clingy female is the last thing on this earth I need. I got a bar needs running and only me to run it - at least until my seven wayward brothers decide to show their asses up.... Then this chick walks in, fine as hell, wearing a soaked wedding dress that leaves little enough to the imagination - and I've got a hell of an imagination. I knew I shouldn't have touched her. Not so much as a finger, not even innocently. But I did.

Wow! This was much sweeter than anticipated! Based on the title, I was expecting an intense, emotionally draining story, but was treated to some of the sweetest badd boys I've had the pleasure of listening too! These eight brothers didn't see eye to eye, went their separate ways, but there was no denying their deep brotherly love for one another. When tragedy struck, they came together to fulfill a last wish which will cost each brother one year of their time. Some of the brothers weren't too happy about the arrangement, but they all agreed they owed it to Sebastian. These sexy as sin brothers could be crude, lacked filters, but you could feel the love, and devotion they had for each other.
Poor Dru..... she was about to walk down the isle, say her "I do", have her HEA.... well that is until she catches her "good for nothing" fiancé in the act.... right before her wedding no less. Left broken hearted💔, she does what any INsane woman would do, she catches the next flight out, and finds herself in Alaska. Personally, I would have taken the next fight to Hawaii, Bahamas, Jamaica...... anywhere but Alaska.... but then again she wouldn't have found herself at Badd's bar drinking her sorrows away with the sexiest bartender Sebastian Badd. The sparks fly, chemistry ignites, and despite her situation these two are drawn to each other like a moth to a flame 🔥. Due to her last minute flight, she's come to Alaska with limited funds, and no place to stay, but Sebastian Badd is a GOOD, GOOD man! He agrees to let Dru stay with him in his apartment above the bar. Even though Sebastian is suppose to be a rebound fling for Dru, things heat up quickly, and they find themselves in an instant love affair. 💝
Things are going to get crowded real quick! One by one, the Badd brothers make it back to Badd's bar so they can start their one year commitment, and watch their older brother fall head over heals for his girl. The sex is STEAMY, HOT, and Sebastian takes it just as good as he can give it.
The narration was spot on! I enjoyed Summer and Tyler's performance! Well worth a credit, but it's also the perfect whispersync deal. I can't wait to hear the other Badd brothers stories!
"...thus proving yet again that the biggest sex organ in humans lies smack-dab right between the ears..."
Ok guys. This is one of those rare audiobooks to make it onto my repeat list (Gasp!) And since y'all know how picky I am when choosing worthy candidates for that most exclusive group, you can be sure this one will not disappoint. Spicy is too tame and flat to describe this one- think Carolina Reaper pepper/Earth's inner core/white dwarf star with its planetary nebula kind of HOT (get your nerd on and look THAT one up, yo!) The storyline is pretty good too, though I'm sure Some People will criticize various elements as over-the-top unbelievable (we all know these People- the ones who delight in nit-picking the movie plot aloud while watching it with you, thus making you rethink your decision to watch a movie with them in the first place.) Obviously, I happen to like those bombastic elements quite a lot- I'd even go so far as to say I adore such fairytale- like moments in a story. They are like literary bonbons to be savored. Here's my advice to anyone who is not convinced at this point to snap up this title right-effing-now: Go open the storage closet door of your psyche, reach up on the top shelf and take out your inner Freak which has been starving to death way up there, and let that bad boy (or bad girl 😈) feast on this listen! Believe me, you'll both thank me in the morning. Oh, and Ms. Wilder- please don't make us wait too long for more!
One of the best books I have ever listened to. The story took you on a journey of love, lust, heartache, sex, understanding, loyalty, and so much more. With 8 handsome brothers that were different in their own way and made you fall in love with all of them. You will not be disappointed if you get this audio. The narrators did an excellent job and made the storytelling so good to listen to. Happy reading.
The description of the story piqued my interest; but, while listening, I found the flat tone of the narrators distracting and decidedly lacking in stimulation, especially during the exotic sections.
I had high expectations when I noticed the male/female narration duo; but, just because both genders are represented in voice, the dialogue is not the natural conversation pattern.
The voices alternate by chapter, not in dialogue; so the narrators voice both the female & male characters in their specific chapters.
I guess I'm now spoiled by the excellent reading duo of Noah Michael Levine & Erin Deward; those two blister my ears with their heat! This book's narration left me cold. I returned it without completing.
Yeah, there is definitely an unlikely overnight romance but, I still liked it; a lot, actually . Maybe it's because the Heroine reminds me of me. She is a tomboy and is the type of woman that is more comfortable hanging around guys. And she doesn't do so to be the center of attention but rather because she likes the way that men are straight shooters; they say it like it is. I love the dynamics of this family of 8 brothers and the unique way that brothers always take care of each other. I can't wait to listen to all the brother's stories.

Love this Badd boy Sebastian!!! I love an alpha who respects his women!!!! I can't wait to fall in love with all of the Badd Ass Brothers!!! Definitely worth the credit, and a definite repeat listen!! You gotta get this one!!!
I liked this book. The narrators did a great job. This is the first book I've listened to from J.W. I didn't much care for the ending. It was rushed. And then the epilogue, I guess , got u started for the next book.
Another really good book from Jasinda Wilder , I can't wait for book 2 this looks like another brilliant series.
