They say when you assume, you make an ass out of you and me. Kenton Mayson learned this lesson firsthand when he made assumptions about Autumn Freeman and the kind of woman she was based on what little information he had. What he finds out is that she's not only beautiful but also smart, funny, a fighter, and exactly the kind of woman he wants to share his life with. Autumn made assumptions of her own about Kenton, and now he needs to prove her wrong in order to protect her and their future.

I really enjoyed Kenton & Autumn's story. She was in danger, she was a stranger and he protected her...Who wouldn't love him! I enjoyed their banter and the sex scenes were hot. The author made the insta-love thing work somehow and I normally dislike all insta-love books. The narration was great too!
Probably not Aurora, but Lidia and Sebastian are good if produced well.
I liked her books before, but this one did not measure up.
The editing was very poor and the performances were uninspired. Perhaps because the material was such drivel, they couldn't get it up?
Inspired to not buy a book just because I liked the others by the author. Fool me once!
Maybe I'm foolish for purchasing this book based solely on the fact that Sebastian York is one of the narrators.
I made it through about 3 hours of this book and finally gave up. No more than a couple sentences from Sebastian York and the female narrator made a terrible breathy, dry lip smacking noise at the start of each sentence. Also, the story was painfully dull and the female character was so obnoxious that I wanted her to just go away. Finally gave up on this story less than 1/2 the way through.
Say something about yourself!
Pros: Faithful, Alpha Hero.
Cons: There was no good reason for the heroine to be a former stripper. She could have gotten a job doing something else while going to nursing school.
Con: We hear very little from the hero, this causes me not to understand why he really loves her.
Con: Way to much time in the heroines head.
Con: Lidia Dornet is an awful narrator for a male. She made them sound like kids and ruined the book.
Kenton Mayson is a cousin to the Until Masons, Asher, Trevor, Cash and Nico. You wouldn't need to read their stories first but I'm glad I did. There are events that overlap in these stories and it's fun to see things from two angles.
Kenton has been asked ( he's a bounty hunter, as well as other things) for a stripper from Vegas, Autumn. The title is based on the assumptions they make about each other. Like all the Mayson boys Kenton can only fight his attraction for so long, and encouraged by Nico ( in Nico's book you get to hear the conversation ) gives in and finds Autumn is his one. Kenton is tough but so loving and understanding to Autumn once he gives in to his feelings. Autumn needs protection after witnessing murders in Vegas and has had a horrible childhood, that situations come up throughout the story, spaced so it is always exciting and not over blown. Things move quickly. I really enjoyed this book and Aurora Rose Reynolds is a favorite author. There is steamy sex, but like the Until books it doesn't occur until there is an emotional connection, then it's hot.
Lydia Dornet gave a fantastic performance...varying voices, terrific inflection....she is wonderful Sebastian York is always incredible, what a voice. wish he was in it more, but the story is mostly Autumn's and towards then end when it was appropriate York was pivotal.
I will listen to this many times and enjoy the next in the series and every Until book!
Love listening to audio books.
This is a romantic, love story.
Kenton is a private man, but when an old friend calls him up for a favor to protect a woman from a strip club. He has no problem as long as she keeps that part of her life out of his home. He knows what type of women work there and he has no problem opening his mouth just to make himself look like the idiot he is after he knows the truth. Now he is not only playing catch up for he has to make amends, he knows shes the one and nothing to going to stop him for claiming what is his.
Autumn knows what a man wants and she's been there done that. She grew up in the life of light and customs, she was groomed from the beginning to be nothing more than "beautiful". The word is nothing more than a curse to her, for everyone who sees her thinks she is nothing more than that. They do not know her true passions and where her heart lies with a secret that she was forced to give away. As she becomes a witness to a crime she has no choice but to stay under the protection of the man that haunts her daydreams and night but she can never trust, because he has made it clear what he assumes of her.
As they both come together, they realize together they are stronger, but apart they crumble, both are stubborn what will prevail?
LOVED IT, I do not know how Aurora Rose Reynolds does it but thank you, I can always count on the best. I cried, again, like all her other books.
