Publisher's summary

Nothing incites Marcus more than the primal hunger roused by his former fiancée, Elizabeth. It’s been years since she jilted him for another man, but that only means there’s a lot to catch up on, a lot to make up for, and that he’s going to enjoy every sweet moment.… The same drive and passion that sent her into another man’s arms is what brings Elizabeth back to Marcus. Her attraction to him is the one thing she fears, but she’s run out of options. Resisting is impossible. But does she have the courage to surrender everything?

Loved Listening to every minute of this book.

When I started listening to this book I stopped after a couple of minutes because the accent was too strong. A couple days later I decided to start listening again and after the first chapter I could not stop listening. I love how the relationship between Marcus and Elizabeth develops from lust to actual love. Great historical romance novel.

I did not care for the narrator

Narrator Ruined The Story

The book would have been better with a different narrator, such a pity she was selected to do the entire series. Had I realized that I would never have purchased the entire series but I did and I am compelled to stick it out and get through it! Mostly I like the stories but dread listening to it. Also I was not expecting it to be a series of the late 18 hundreds, Sad that the series was ruined by a bad narrator. Normally I enjoy Sylvia Day books. I just wished I have not purchased the whole series at one time.

Good story

The story was very good and the chemistry between the two characters was excellent. I have to agree with the others regarding the nasal nature of the narrators voice. It is extreme and distracting.

Very Sexual

Would you consider the audio edition of Ask for It to be better than the print version?

Absolutely. I work more that 60 to 70 hours a week and have a family. Unfortunately my commute is the only time I get to indulge in the pleasure of a book.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I liked both Marcus and Elizabeth. I really enjoyed the banter back and forth between the two as they romance developed.

What does Justine Eyre bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Her portrayal of each character was excellent.

I'm sorry. This is the best I've ever read...

The visualization and passion was amazing. I've listen to this book multiple times. The story line is spectacular! The reader is gifted. This story is a benchmark.

Not a great narrator

The narrator made this hard to continue to listen to, but the story was fine.

Great storyline

The story was great. The characters were strong and the danger felt real. Purchased other book in this series so looking forward to the next book.

SO DISAPPOINTING. WASTE OF CREDIT

Spoiler Alert: about 2 hrs into what was developing as a decent book, the hero basically rapes the heroine. He justifies tying her up and taking her against her will by saying "now you can enjoy me without having to feel guilty." Just wrecked the book. I tried to keep listening, but just couldn't tolerate either character after that scene. The author should be ashamed at destroying what might have been a good novel.

Narrators voice.....

How did the narrator detract from the book?

I couldn't listen past the narrators voice to hear the words of the story. This was wasted money for me. It's a shame.

Not what I expected...

Any additional comments?

I'm not a big fan of historical romance but enjoyed some of Sylvia Day's other books. The story was a little slow in the beginning but eventually picked up some. It took me a week to finish rather than 2 days like I do with other books. I've read better historical romance books, however the narrator did a great job with the characters.
