Publisher's summary

Nalini Singh steps back into the shadows of her heartbreakingly original world where angels rule, vampires serve, and the innocent can pay the greatest price of all….Vampire hunter Elena Deveraux and her lover, the lethally beautiful archangel Raphael, have returned home to New York only to face an uncompromising new evil. A vampire has attacked a girls' school - the assault one of sheer, vicious madness - and it is only the first act. Rampant bloodlust takes vampire after vampire, threatening to make the streets run with blood. Then Raphael himself begins to show signs of an uncontrolled rage, as inexplicable storms darken the city skyline and the earth itself shudders. The omens are suddenly terrifyingly clear. An ancient and malevolent immortal is rising. The violent winds whisper her name: Caliane. She has returned to reclaim her son, Raphael. Only one thing stands in her way: Elena, the consort who must be destroyed...

Excellent Series

Would you consider the audio edition of Archangel's Consort to be better than the print version?

This third book is a good continuation of the story between Raphael and Elena. The story line is excellent and the performance is excellent. The narrator has done an excellent job in this series and I think I prefer the audio edition immensely. Justine Eyre is excellent and it is because of her that I would prefer the audio edition over the print version anytime.

What did you like best about this story?

The plot and narrator add to the story and provide an added dimension that needs to be experienced!

What does Justine Eyre bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Justine Eyre has added a richness to the characters that I would not have experienced in just reading the book.

Any additional comments?

I have read a lot of fantasy and paranormal romance series. I have found this series particularly enjoyable.

Good installment in a solid series

Book 3 in the Guild Hunter series won't disappoint. The romance between Raphael and Elena continues to develop and there is plenty of action, drama and suspense. A lot of Raphael's history is built upon in this book and Nalini Singh delivers another wonderful effort in a fascinating world. Look forward to the next one in Audible. The narrator is quite good, but I would like a little more of the drama to come through in her performance.

Great book!

It was a great book but the chapters didn’t seem to match with the narration.
