Half-Argoran shifter, Arak O’tir knew good people existed. He worked with some of them. But as a deadly Jutak warrior, his work often took him into the less savory elements of society. So much so, he shielded his heart from those he rescued. That was, until one particular mission leaves him longing for a specific female. Someone who made him tremble even if she wasn’t from his world.
Sylvia Forrester never expected her quest for a husband would lead her into danger. Nor could she have ever foreseen that her search would find her captured by aliens and added to a list of potential sex-slaves to be sold for a high profit. While her captors should have broken her, destroying any hope she’d had of a life happily-ever-after, Sylvia’s savior has her wondering if her earlier dreams could still come true.
But Arak and Sylvia soon discover love and passion has its own price.

Just Another Audiobook Addict! Love listening to all types of romances, but occasionally need a good Sci-Fi, Fantasy, or a book with humor!
Wow, what a great story and performance! Book two was an awesome addition to the "A World Beyond" series! I fell in love with the story, characters, and the dual narration.
While Arak's Love did not come across as intense as book one, Trokel's Chosen, it picks up closely to where the last story ends, and really develops the multiple plots and characters. The search for Lindsey continues with some surprising twists, and two additional earth females, Sylvia and Joni are rescued.
From the moment Arak helped rescue Sylvia, he and his animal instincts are all about protecting Sylvia, and their relationship slowly starts to blossom. We really get to know Arak and Sylvia, and their attractions for each other is a slow burn that builds into some serious intense romance. While we watch their relationship grow, the other characters are developed, and there are several heart warming moments along with a few heart aches.
Michelle did an outstanding job developing the story, the different characters, and providing a few mysterious cliffhangers for future stories. I can't wait to see how the story unfolds in books two and three.
I loved the dual narration and sound effects! This is one of the few m/f dual narrations where it is not based solely on m/f POV's. Michael narrated the entire story, and performed all the male character voices, while Samia performed all the female voices regardless if it was a male or female POV. The performance was very entertaining, and made the story that more enjoyable.
I highly recommend this story for any Sci/Fi romance fan! I will definitely be on the lookout for the other books in the series to be released in audio. (If you disliked Torkel's actions in the last book, you'll want to listen to this story.)
Say something about yourself!
The narration and the sound effects. They were fantastic
when the traitor was revealed.
When Arak came looking for Sylvi at the restaurant.
When Sylvi agreed to be his mate even if the joining would not be aknowledged by enotians laws
This is the second in a series about alien romance. This book was fantastic. It is my favorite so far. I know i will continue this series. This had it all. Love, action betrayal and loyalty. This book reminded me a little of the Black Dagger Brotherhood series. I would recommend this book. Can't wait to read the next book.
I think I'm in again! i read this as an ebook but got a copy of the audio book from the author. i believe the sound effects and the tone of the narrator. i think this was the best performance I've heard in a long time. I'll be buying all in this series in audiobooks just top hear the voices of the characters I've fallen in love with
Good Living Enthusiast
Worth the credit. Loved the characters, though sometimes there are too many to keep track of. Several times I thought the book was over but I'm glad the author followed the story all the way through.
There were some extemporaneous scenes that I couldn't figure out how they relate to the story other than to add excitement, and some of the aliens use earth slang at certain points.
So I did the first one and liked it. Especially since I get to know all the men on the team. Now after the second I'm hooked. I hate that I have to wait for the rest of them to become audio books. I would read them but there's just something about listening to them that makes it more fun. Hope the next two come quick
I loved the fact that they used multiple narrators! The sound effects made you feel as if you were in a movie! !!
Want, Confusion, and Happiness!
When Arik meets the two women one (his) and the other her friend! The attraction of one and the independence of the other something humorous in the first meeting😊
Michael Pauley also did performance for Tokels chosen. Book one of this series did an excellent job with both! Also liked Samoa Moon's performance
Not sure movies are a little tougher for me to comment
I loved all of the characters and I am so glad that we got to learn more about Arak. He is such an amazing character and knowing what makes him, him is great. I cannot wait for the next book in the series.
I read, A LOT. I have a very high expectation when it comes to books be it audio, print or ebooks.
I was a little hesitant to listen to this one because I wasn't a big fan of the first book - Torkel's Chosen. I just have a thing about men trying to do female voices. I was intrigued enough in the story line to want to know what happened to the characters. Well Arak's Love was definitely an improvement. I love the use of a female voice, I loved the background sound effects and the plot was great. Now I'm excited to listen to the next book in the series.
