Publisher's summary

Warrior angels, vampire hunters, and angels gone bad heat up this altogether sizzling paranormal alternate universe. This anthology of novellas features Angels' Wolf, Angels' Judgment, Angels' Pawn, and the never-before-published Angels' Dance.

In Angel's Wolf, a vampire becomes fascinated with the seductive angel who rules Louisiana. But all is not what it appears to be in her court. In Angels' Judgment, a hunter must track one of her own gone bad while surviving the deadly tests placed in her way by the archangels themselves. Unexpected backup comes from a stranger who might just be the most lethal threat of all.

In Angels' Pawn, a vampire hunter faces off against two rival factions and the angel manipulating them both, and a vampire whose help is not entirely selfless.

And in the never-before-published Angels' Dance, an angel trapped in the mountain stronghold of the Refuge finds herself under siege by a warrior angel from a martial court.

Couldn't wait to get this, but wish I had !!

First, let me say I am a huge fan of Nalini Singh and her books are an automatic download for me and I've loved them all. I think she is a brilliant, creative writer. However, I found these novellas a little bit confusing - some didn't seem to have an ending whilst others did. This also seems to be a PREQUEL to the Guildhunter Books rather than a follow on as I thought.

If you, like me, are a fan of Nalini's books then you're probably going to download this but I was a bit bored and disappointed with a couple of the stories. The narrator did a great job and made them almost worth the listen.

Awesome!!!

I don't know what the complaints are about....well let me clairify, if I was waiting for the next book in the series to come out and this compilation of short stories came out instead I guess I might be a bit ticked....but hey this was AWESOME for what it was!

I would read this AFTER book 3, Angel's Consort....you know all the characters by then, and the back story needed to enjoy the book.

Not sure if these are in order, but I'll give it a shot.

#1: Want to know how Sarah and Deckon met? Want to know why their dog's name is slayer? Want to know how Sarah became Guild Director? -Takes place prior to book 1

#2: We have heard about Ashwini, the hunter, and how she always seems to be tracking the vampire Janvier....but what happens when she goes to him for help?-Takes place prior to book 1.

#3: Remember Noel, the vampire found bloodied on a beach in Book 2....ever wonder wht happened to him? Find out when he is transferred to the court of the Angel in charge of Louisiana...will he heal fully or will he break? Takes place after book 3.

#4 Ahh....Jessammy...the 3 thousand year old angel who was born with a deformed wing...she can't fly but she teaches the angelic children in the refuge. How did such a peaceful angel hook up with Gallen, the bruttish thug in charge of training Raphael's troops?

Anyway, awesome!!!!

Ummm I think I missed something!!!!

What does Justine Eyre bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

she is a great narrator.

Any additional comments?

So Not what I was expecting...As I am a huge fan of Nalini Singh and listen to all her books as soon as released, I just have to say WTH??? I guess I didn't read the quirk of the story before downloading, my bad.. I trully couldn't even finish it I was bored. Not her best work.

Disappointing

Any additional comments?

I'm only into the second novella and am, frankly, bored. I agree this should be termed a prequel to the series. While some stories add depth for future novels, some backtrack to tell stories where you already know the outcome, eliminating any suspense or urgency. My advice: wait for the next novel.

4 Great Short Stories

I'm not sure why people gave this bad reviews. It's 4 short but complete stories from the Guild Hunter series. 3 out of 4 of these have been previously published so be warned. I liked all 4 of the stories and was glad I bought Angel's Flight.

ok but not really worth the wait

Nalini Singh's guild hunter/ angel series is wonderfully creative, sexy and funny. this is a compilation of mini stories from this series, with different timelines and background characters.

I enjoyed a few of the stories (Jessimee and Gaylen in particular) but mostly I slogged thru for the more in depth background to the series.

listen to it once probably wont listen again for a VERY long time.

Anthology with prequel & filler stories

Not really a "stand-alone". If you follow Nalini Singh's Guild Hunter series, you'll enjoy these stories beginning with Sara meeting Deacon; Ellie's friendship with both; & how Slayer joined them. Next, Ashwini recruits Janvier to help her with a case; going to the house with screams in the walls - referenced several times in subsequent stories. Story #3 We get to find out what happened to the vampire Noel who survives a vicious beating in book 2, but gets his HEA. Last, we get the story of Galen & Jessamy's courtship. These add a richness & texture to the series. Eyre really is the voice of the series.

Short stories from a great series

I really enjoy this series. This book give you a look into the lives of many of the secondary characters and even some new ones. You also get to see a different side to some of the main characters you've know for a long time.

I loved seeing Raphael with Jessamy. He is a completely different character around someone who is much older and helped raise him than he is with anyone else. To see Jessamy and Galen come together was touching. She is such a kind heart.

I also really liked seeing more of Deacon and Sara. They are a great pair. It was a lot of fun seeing them come together

All the stories are great, but these two were my favorite. While, I think you could read this without have read the rest of the series, I think you would appreciate it much more if you have. This is true for even the stories that take place before the Angel's Blood.

loved it!

I loved it and couldn't get enough. Almost feel like most of the stories could branch off into their own sub-series. The narrator makes it worth the listen and you want to know more about the individual stories.
