Publisher's summary

Nancy Scanlon continues the time-bending saga she began with The Winter Laird, pulling heroes and villains alike through the portals of time to help save their futures and find their truest loves.

A time travel accident has left Aidan MacWilliam, younger brother of a medieval Irish laird, trapped in the future. Though he's become a successful entrepreneur in the 21st century, Aidan still can't banish thoughts of the world he left behind. In search of distraction, he heads to New York to scout a PR person for his cousin's matchmaking firm, Celtic Connections.

Emmaline Perkins might be the perfect candidate. A PR expert and closet medievalist, Emma has always put work before her social life. When a breathtakingly handsome man who looks like he stepped straight out of the Middle Ages proposes business, she struggles to keep her professional and personal lives separate. Then Emma's ex-fiancé resurfaces, threatening Emma's livelihood, her home, and ultimately her safety.

Aidan jumps to protect her, and not just because she's good for business. He feels a primal need to defend the alluring young woman. But the question is not where she'll be safe - but when.

Great Listen!

Great story! I read the reviews on this before buying so was attentive to the narrator. She did a fairly good job. Some of the voices were difficult to distinguish between (just 1 or two of the Irish male characters - it's read by a woman). IT didn't pull y attention from the story though. I couldn't stop listening.

I DO WISH Audible Studios would cast Both a male and female so the male actor does the male voices and female does the female voices. I don't care HOW GOOD a narrator is, you can always tell when a man is trying to do female voices and vice versa and it takes away from the story. So many people would get into audiobooks (more than presently listen) if there were more realistic voices. Sales would likely skyrocket. ESPECIALLY if both actors were promoted using a special word to identify multiple actors. Audible- it would seriously make a difference!!

This series just keeps getting better

Following on from book One Aidan MacWilliam, Laird Nioclas’ younger brother is sent on a quest and does not return.
Feared dead by his clan but really trapped in the future he longs to return home.
Emmaline Perkins ends up on the O’Rourke’s radar by Colin, owner of Celtic Connections who sneakily arranges for Aiden to meet with her as his company requires a publicity manager.
She just happens to be perfect not only for the job but for Aiden.
Emma’s life implodes and she finds herself in grave danger.
Aiden comes to her rescue and they end up going back in time to Aiden’s family.
Even there she is in much danger.
The storyline was fantastic and I found myself a couple of times sobbing along while listening to this audiobook.
An amazing read and narration which I thoroughly enjoyed and recommend.

I WAS IN TEARS

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Aiden was such a good guy and I really admired Emma's strength and courage. They had a very strong connection in spite of the obstacles Emma faced. I recommend reading of listening to this series!

An emotional follow up

This was the sequel to the winter laird an lets just say it was excellent. If you are looking for a book with steamy "scenes" this isn't the book for you. This book is about a great romance that stands the test of time travel. This listen is worth a credit. I wanted to cry at the end and I usually want to listen to "steamy" books. So this was a go for me

Highly enjoyed this book!

I didn't like that the characters took until the last second of the story to get their romance solved. I wanted to know that the evil ex got his just deserved ending and I wanted the couple to go back to the past for their future. The story otherwise checked every box for me and was highly recommended by me.

Time travel and love

A pretty good book that captures emotions that plague both men and women when they are falling in love and afraid to be the first to share their feelings. Worth the read and good on audio.

Great Story!

Love the story and characters. Good story line. Funny in places, yet can be an emotional sequence in there.

An Enchanted Spring Review

An Enchanted Spring by Nancy Scanlon is the 2nd book of the Mists of Fate series. This time traveling romance is set in NYC and Ireland. The hero, Aidan MacWilliam has been stuck in the 21st century for eight years. He meets Emmaline Perkins and finds himself offering her more than just a new job. In order to protect her from her deranged ex-fiancé, he takes her back to his home in 15th century Ireland.

I really enjoyed the story and the narrator, Jane Jacobs, was excellent, once again.
