In the sequel to Alpha Wolf's Pet, Hidden, Mia has two choices: remain hidden from the Russian mob determined to murder her, or become a sworn member of Dominic's werewolf pack. Being Dominic's human lover is pleasurable while taxing. She wants more commitment than he can give. Except werewolves never marry humans. Carnal desires aside, will she accept her status within the pack in order to share what little time she has with Dominic until he takes a werewolf mate?
Dominic is torn. If he gives Mia beta status, his pack will mutiny. If he doesn't, she'll leave. Her stubborn independent nature will turn his world of strict pack rules upside down. He loves her, but his pack rules will never allow him to claim a human as his mate. Worse, he's drawn to Mia's addictive blood. Was one taste too much?
Despite breaking the witness protection rules and looming danger, Mia is determined to visit her ailing grandmother. Can Dominic protect her from the mob, as well as from his kind? As their passion reaches a fevered pitch, will circumstances crush their happiness?

The interactions Mia had with each of the pack members was interesting. Each one was unique and well defined. I like that the origins of the werewolf world is so different from other stories. Mia's struggle with pack society is a curious dynamic. Almost like going back to high school as an adult in my nightmares!
Without giving any spoilers....2 wordsPanty Sniffer
When Mia meets Mommy's mate pick for her son.
Augusta Rivers did an ok job of narrating, but Megan Kelly from book 1 is my preference.
I received this in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.
Norwegian in a English world!
Well, no surprise: I liked this to! To bad it has a not so good narrator as the last one. Augusta Rivers is no Meghan Kelly! Acutely really far from it! The book suffers for it too, not only am i still liking the story. I am loving it. Eva Gordon is still keeping it HOT. That is why i am a bit sad about Augusta Rivers made me rethink if i liked this type of books.
I would give Augusta Rivers 2, 5 if that was possible. Good that Eva Gordon keeps it going steady at a 4,6 all out of 5. The story gets more meat (No pun intended) and i cant WAIT to next book! So i want to say: Loved the book, not the narrator.... I think that was pretty clear!
I was provided this audiobook at no charge by the author
The narrative is more than just description. You experience the emotions, can feel the tension through the narrator between characters.
Mia's experience with Doms mother and her feelings and thoughts knowing that she would never be Doms forever, then her journey to California not knowing what will be facing her.
I liked Oak. (Hopefully that is how it's spelled)
The loss of her grandmother and that her grandmother did have times that she remembered Mia and wanted her safe.
I have always been an avid reader, but now really enjoy listening to a book as I don't have to put down while driving and can continue the story even while cleaning.
This is the second book in this series. I listened to book one and enjoyed it so I thought I would give book two a chance. It did not disappoint. Dom and Mia's story continues and you find out a lot more about the way werewolves came into being and how they keep themselves so secret from us inferior humans.
Some of the Russian Mob who are searching for Mia meet their end in this book but that doesn't mean the threat is gone, there are more in the wings. We also found out what the King was going to do to Dominic after he killed his son to save Mia's life.
Mia signs the Wolf None Disclosure Contract and joins the pack as Dominic's Pet but then has to face his mother, an Enforcer in her own right.
I have to say this story kept my attention and now I just have to find out what happens in the next book.
The story of Mia and Dominic continues in this second novel. I found the author's descriptions of werewolf society and customs fascinating. It was an entertaining read, and I found it a bit humorous how Mia made some serious inadvertent mis-steps, like offering herself to a bunch of the werewolves when she was only trying to be respectful. The romance between Dom and Mia continues to develop, and it was great to see the balance between control and protection. It's a thin line, but the author handles it beautifully, and Dom's patience and tolerance shows his love for Mia. I can't wait to listen to the next book to learn how they handle the potential blood bonding, his mother, and his fated mate.
There isn't as much "heat" in this book as the first one, as Mia and Dom don't spend as much time together. The sexual interactions are handled tastefully by the narrator. I actually prefer that to attempts to emulate a "screaming" orgasm, which more often than not comes off contrived and ridiculous sounding. The narrator kept an even-paced delivery throughout the telling.
I enjoyed this audiobook romance, and I recommend it as a sweet, sometimes steamy, sometimes heart-pounding story.
I received this audiobook free from the author without obligation.
Mia signed the contract to be a member of the pack. But after she know he is a werewolf. She have to hide because of that. His father and mother from Dom can't know that. Dom has to kill a werewolf and his family is not happy with it. When Doms mother send Mia away she takes a chance to visit her grandma. And she is just in time because she dead. And she finds out that the mob find her. Luckily Dom is on time to save her from the mob and he knows he don't wanna lose her... Great book
I'm glad the bad guy is dead. I like that Mia holds her own. She has to learn about wolf politics, but Dominic should have tutored her more. Will there relationship survive all the bumps in the road. I hope so. Can't wait for the next book. The narrator wasn't as good as in the first book.
It was different than any other paranormal series I've read.
The thing with the blood bond I didn't like how that was being addressed
How they became werewolfs I loved the history of it
she does a great job of making me invested in the story and wanting to hear more
It was worth my time and I will be listening to the next one as I am invested in the story and want to see how it ends.
I love to read‼️
