Greek billionaire playboy Nikolas Constantinos intended to conclude the business deal with Jessica Stanton, a.k.a. The Black Widow, as quickly as possible. Love hadn't been part of his plan. A hot affair or a one-night stand was all he'd allow. Because love would lead to marriage. And marriage to Jessica, a woman with a scandalous past, could ruin him. But love was the one thing he couldn't control.

NOTHING!! It glorifies domestic violence.
The narrator is okay. She did not have much to work with. The hero (Nikolas) and the wimpy pathetic heroine (Jessica). The hero abused the heroine so much and she blamed herself every single time. I was abused when I was younger, but I learned from it. I don't ever want to read a book that glorifies spousal abusive. That is what this book did!! He practically raped her all through the book and stopped when she cried. Then. he blamed her for making him wild with lust. Really??? Oh, but he did end up raping her on their wedding night. He called her names and told her over and over she is not worthy of him. That she is basically a slut and a whore. This is all because she married a man about 50 years older than her and some newspaper articles. Jessica NEVER once explained ANYTHING to Nikolas. NOTHING about why she married the older man! How it was not a sexual relationship but one made from a grandfather and granddaughter type of love. Her first husband wanted to protect her when he died. Still unsure why he couldn't just leave her money. Jessica was a virgin but Never explains this to Nikolas. Of coarse, he would never believe her. Why?? Again, the heroine never explains anything to him. At the very end, which I skipped most if the book because I read it 10 years ago and hated then too, Jessica asked Nikolas if he loves her and he is dumbfounded because he has loved her from the beginning. That is also why he explains that he kiss another woman and was plaining on having an affair but he just couldn't do it. He loved her too much.
Why would Dreamscape make this book into an audiobook book when the average review on Amazon is 2 stars. Almost every reviewer hated it. Wouldn't it make more sense to create an audiobook that people loved? Dreamscape publishing would make a lot more money that way. I know that "All That Glitter" is from 1982 and bodice ripper type of books were in vogue. The abuse in this novel was WAY over the top. Why republish a book which glorifies sexual, physical, emotional, and mental abuse. Dreamscape publishing should be a shamed of themselves. Next time pick a better novel to make into an audiobook.
PLOT: Nicholas Constantinos GREEK Billionaire HUNK finds a woman he cannot buy.~
LINDA HOWARDS FIRST BOOK~ SWEET lovely Jessica Stanton is a very young widow with a reputation as a "black widow" due to her marriage to a much older husband. She is beautiful and intelligent. She has some stocks Greek Billionaire Nicholas Constatinos wants. When Jessica votes down a merger ......it brings Nicholas to the UK to "persuade" Jessica to sell no matter "what it takes".....assuming the worst about Jessica~ Nicholas decides to use his passionate nature to both "sweep Jessica off her feet" and get his stocks. But Jessica has a "plan of her own" She cannot be bought. Virgin Jessica married for love not sex and was a widow very young. the battle of the sexes is fun and a GREEK "CAN learn some new rules" LOL about love. This is NOT a romantic suspense like her recent books but the story is good and holds up over time. Jessica is a good heroine and Nicholas "figures" out that Jessica is a RARE gem of a lady. This is a very good book. THE reader is good but could have been much better. THANK YOU DREAMSCAPE MEDIA AND AUDIBLE for finally bringing Linda Howards FIRST book to audio. KEEP them coming....how about Heartbreaker and Duncan's Bride?? HINT hint HINT.....and this is BETTER than the Cutting Edge released last year. I give the READER 3 stars the Story 5 Stars and over all 4 stars. A good audio for a rainy day. Enjoy.
