RITA Award winner Irene Hannon has also won the Holt Medallion for her romantic suspense. In this pulse-pounding thriller, the White House orders elite FBI operator Evan Cooper to secure Monica Callahan from a terrorist threat. But since Monica refuses all calls from her senior diplomat father, she sees no need for his round-the-clock protection—until a chilling “message” leaves no doubt.

Very good story- plot definitely fits into today's political/ radical/ terrorist climate - so I didn't want to stop listening - I wanted to find out how it was all going to work out. But the preachy parts did take away from it for me & some parts, especially near the end were not as believable. I might have hesitated to buy it if I had known it was christian based - but over all I'm glad I listened to it.
This wonderful story came alive with the excellent narration of Mr . Dallimore. His ability to give each character's voice a different vocal distinction makes for a more exciting adventure.

Although I see that this author has written many many books, I am puzzled by her popularity. This book abundantly formulaic. I knew the end within the first few minutes of the story. It might be nice for a fifth grade student to read but is far too simple for adults.
I should've done my due diligence and read a review before taking the time and energy to listen to this book. I shall ask for a refund.
We like to listen to books while driving. This guy is like listening to a monotone teacher. Kept having to quit listening because we were falling asleep. That has never happened!
Say something about yourself!
The romance development. The delivery of the payment for information on the hostages.
He portrays believable characters whether male or female.
I knew that this book had a Christian base and I was open to it but it was a little too back and white. The feelings expressed between the 2 main characters were too simplistic. I like the plot, the romance and the characters more developed and complicated. I listened to 3/4 of the book hoping it would get better. Usually a book pulls me in and I can't stop reading or listening but with this one I found that I was just passing the time. It feels more like a bad made for tv movie. Pretty predictable. I'm really surprised at the high reviews.
Seriously BlackBerry BlackBerry BlackBerry why not just say phone? Or smart phone or anything but BlackBerry! you get so sick of hearing that , otherwise it was great
Bible preaching is not what I expected. Now that I know this author I wont be buying again
Stevie was not the best narrator I have listened to but not the worst either.
All the preaching parts
Honestly I would have returned this book for a refund if I hadn't already turned one in during the last 6 months
