Megan O’Rourke’s beloved grandfather had always been determined to lure her out of New York and back to their ranch in Whispering Wind, Wyoming. Now, his will makes it impossible for her to refuse. She’s named guardian of Tex’s daughter - a daughter Megan never knew about!
Jake Landers has also come home to Whispering Wind. After leaving years before under a cloud of suspicion, he’s returned to put down roots. When he comes face-to-face with the woman who shares his troubled past, he hardly recognizes the driven powerhouse Megan has become. Now she has big decisions to make - about life, love, and where home really is. Jake’s only too happy to help Megan rediscover their old dreams - and maybe this time, fulfill them forever.

I read so I can write
It took a few chapters to grab my interest but it got better from there. The story is well written and well performed. Good strong believable characters. I recommend it.
Give me water to swim and surf in. That with a glass of red and the sun. That's heaven.
"After Tex" ranks right up in the top 10 books I've listened to so far
I don't believe I've ever read a comparable book to After Texk, because of te ways it touches the heart and shows just how very much the values we grow up with assist us through life.
Small town roots are alway wiwth you no matter the direction life drives us.
There was nothing new in this story, just a rehash of formula romance. In a word, boring!
Something more contempory, like from THIS century. I'm liking Elin Hilderbrand lately.
Narrator was fine, likeable.
Oh geez, maybe the part where the heroine plays a mega successful morning show replica of Martha Stewart and she does not cook or do crafts? Plus she runs a magazine of the same? I remember Diann Cannon doing the same in a movie from the '70's.
and bag of chips
This book has something interesting going with the characters throughout. Uncomplicated story. New characters are swapped in and out and the main story line is interesting and fun throughout. You don't have to think alot or go back for you can keep with it. It's just cheap fun.
The scenes with kid for I got quite a tickle out of her.
There are a few topics and characters that come in and never go anywhere and dangling storylines and references that the author seems to have started and forgot about that are a bit unnerving. This should be a series, but I am guessing that many people tell this author that.
"love lives on"
it's a cuddle up on a rainy day and dream story.
yes once I started I had to listen to the end
