Publisher's summary

Christy Nelson embarks on her new career in Real Estate by holding her first open house, at the wrong house, by accident, where she finds the nude sleeping body of a man.

Navy SEAL Kyle Lansdowne, on a mission to find his missing Team buddy, is staying at his buddy's home while investigating the disappearance. When someone breaks in, he takes protective measures. He doesn't expect to find that a beautiful young woman is responsible for his teammate's abduction.

What starts out as a meeting by accident becomes a hot affair neither one is ready for. Kyle is conflicted about getting Christy involved in his mission, but his hand is forced when he learns the same San Diego gang responsible for his teammate's abduction has kidnapped her.

Battling a cadre of dirty law enforcements hell-bent on getting military equipment, especially state-of-the-art firepower, Kyle is forced to admit that he would die to protect her.

3 Accidental Seal Stars

I really liked Kyle the Navy Seal, I loved the first meeting between Kyle and Christy.

I am not really sure how I feel about the book as a whole, I liked the story. I was just not a big fan of Christy, I kind of felt like she was a little to immature. I wanted to like her but I just didn't I kept hoping she would redeem herself for me but she didn't.

I really did like Kyle like I said I think him wanting to find out what was going on with his friend was admirable for sure. I loved how he was always worried about Christy’s safety and how he didn't want anything he was into to come back on her.

Over all a great story love story, trust and faith pulled them through. I did enjoy the narrator but I did find him to be a little robotic at times.

Sexy Miltary Read!!

Would you listen to Accidental SEAL again? Why?

I read the book but loved the audible version even more. Loved J.D. narration, it was perfect for the story.Accidental Seal was the first military book I have read. But I have to say it won't be the last. I will be quickly picking up the next book in the series. This book was not only sexy but it portrayed real feelings that we all conflict within ourselves at times. The way we feel for someone when we know we shouldn't but can't help but to be in love with them. I just loved this story and how Kyle and Christy were always there for each other even when the odds were against them. I found Sharon Hamilton's writing amazing. Her descriptive writing makes the reading experience even more realistic. It was action packed and full of smokin' hot love scenes. The attraction between the two main characters is undeniable. There was also plenty of humor and sarcasm to go around. This author has quickly become a favorite of mine, and I will definitely be reading more of her work.

Mmmm Military Alpha Men ! Yes Please....

Any additional comments?

Kyle - Spunky Alpha Navy SEAL. He is tough as nails when it comes to his job but when it comes to Christy, he turns putty in her hands. He is taken with her from the word go and constantly finds himself thinking about her, he just can't seem to stay away. He needs to stay focused so he is able to find his missing comrade/best friend. He knows if he can't keep his head in the game it could spell disaster for everyone. One thing leads to another and everything seems to start falling apart.

Christy has relocated from San Francisco to Sand Diego after her mother had died. She is embarking on a new career as a real estate agent with her first open house. Well, she has a slight mix up with the address and end ups walking into the wrong house where she finds a man sleeping. Naked. With eye's budging she thinks *Good God is he naked... and there it all starts.

Full of explosive action, gunfire, and lots of heat (in more ways than one) I found myself unable to stop listing to this book. You know it's a good book when you are reading and you find yourself making faces to go along with the scenes, and can I say, I can't wait to read the other teams' books! Narration was ok but could of been better, still very worthy of the credit spent :)

Misleading Reviews & an AWFUL BOOK

I’m not sure what kind of Lorno the reviewers that have given this drivel anything above one star have been reading, but they need to get better books. This one is AWFUL. I don’t know where to begin, there’s so much to hate. I can’t believe I finished this worthless story; by chapter 7 I was ready to quit. I remembered some reviewers saying there were good action scenes, so I continued on. (There weren’t good action scenes, by the way, only mediocre ones.)

I guess I’ll begin with the female lead. Honestly, I cannot believe (or understand how) a woman wrote this book. Christy is one of the weakest, most annoying leading ladies I’ve ever read. I thought she was badass from the opening scene, but it was more than just downhill from there... it was off a cliff. She is a crybaby expecting a Navy Seal to say “I love you” after a one night stand and a goodbye f—- . Granted, he keeps coming around, but expecting any man to say I love you after a couple days and one date is too unbelievable for words. And she whines about it (internally) constantly! The author also writes in things like ‘she said in her best Marilyn Monroe voice.’ Who does that?!

The author needs to have friends and editors read the book before publication, people who will be honest with her so she can work out plot points like:
If Kyle told Christy to comply with the police, why didn’t she tell them about the guy that passed by the sauna. If Marla’s broken fingers were a “specialty” of the local gangs, why wouldn’t the police look in that direction? Why didn’t she tell Kyle about Marla being found dead? She thinks of Kyle as “the most handsome, wonderful guy she’d ever met” even after he drops her, AGAIN. What the hell? Madame offers her the business is San Francisco and Christy says there’s no future there? This storyline just blunders on and on.

Christy is fierce in the opening scene yet is wide-eyed and fearful when tied up by Caesar? Where is her fight? I would expect dirty looks, at least. Then the author writes she has been strong, not showing emotion...emotion she just wrote about. “All he had to do was love her and she would be healed,” such bullshit. Please excuse my language, but I am vomiting a little in my mouth at the pure drivel and excrement written by this author. Okay, and must she have the hooker heals on whilst being kidnapped?

And she says she has loved him since the first moment they met? What?! Oh my lord, this is just ridiculous.

The male lead, Kyle, handles everything wrong from the first chapter. Some of the storyline is too unbelievable here as well. There’s no way Kyle would tell a two-day lay anything about an on or off-the-books mission. It’s so obvious that the author doesn’t know anything about the military. Also, the police and Sheriff wouldn’t say anything specific to Christy. It’s all ridiculous. And why wouldn’t Kyle ask which officers had visited Christy?! He knows one is dirty, so why not ask and warn her?

Kyle knows nothing about Christy, yet the author writes profound statements about how she is his equal in every respect and perhaps greater than he in many. How could he possibly know this about her after three days and two nights together? It’s not like they talked much! And then during the rescue he gets turned on, “his package was rubbing against the steel of the 9mm.” Seriously?!

And who calls a vagina a PEACH?

And worse... a flipping proposal? I hate this book. I should have stopped at chapter 7.

Finally, the narrator. Ugh. Mispronunciation is such an annoyance that it makes it very difficult to continue listening. Armando is ‘Ar-mOn-do’ NOT ‘Ar-mAn-do’ no matter how it is spelled. That was SO FREAKING ANNOYING!!! Alfredo the Mexican-American was super annoying as well. The voice for him was so stereotypical even I (just a white girl) found it offensive; he also sounded like he was always whining. I loved Gunny though, he was hilarious. The French accent of Madame is also quite awful. Tom Bergeron in SF sounds like a creep. And Catsup? No matter if it is spelled like that it is still pronounced “Ketchup”.

Okay, so a bad book. Oh, worse than that, a waste of my time in my life that I will never get back and I hope to God I eventually forget.

Phew!!! Just a little nervous from all the action!

What did you love best about Accidental SEAL?

I loved the story, it was full of action and romantic as hell. It kept me going, building up and hoping and...we'll it had me all the way. I have just seen that second book is now available and I AM ON IT!!!!!

Who was your favorite character and why?

Cal Lansdown because he is just so yummy although I really did like no nonsense Christie too.

What does J. D. Hart bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

His raw, sexy and amazing voice. He made the seals, especially Cal even more "MAN" if that is possible. He completed it for me. I think a voice like that might be illegal, lol.

Any additional comments?

I purchased it on offer but would have gladly used a credit for it.

Characters were annoying :(

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

I was actually kinda disappointed with this book because I found the lead characters very annoying. They hook-up and then break-up several times. The heroine was a sex pot one minute then a blubbering mess the next and the hero couldn't decide what he wanted. Usually I don't mind some issues with the lead characters, but this was overkill.

Any additional comments?

The plot was good and flowed fairly well.

More Military men! More! More! More!

Oh, I so wanted this to be better than it was! The Narration was horrible! About mid way through the book J. D. Hart sounded like a 6th grader reading a text book before his class. He had no inflection, no emotion and each line after line, paragraph after paragraph sounded the same. No! No! No!

I really enjoyed the story. I LOVED the sex! The sex was done just the way I like it!
No, whiny overemotional virgins in this book, just real women and real men (kick @ss men!) having real gritty sex! There was a little too much introspection and reflection during/after the last big sex scene but still wonderful.

I think it must be difficult to write about hard core military men who fall in love. So many authors forget that we fall for these elite soldiers because they are the elite, they are willing to do what few men are able to do. Often times authors take these rugged men and turn them into teddy bears as soon as they fall in love. Well, that just ruins the fantasy!
Mrs. Hamilton did not ruin this love story buy turning the man into a wimp!

I think I will find the book in print and reread the story adding my own narration in my mind. If it is ever re-released with a performance by Scott Brick, Phil Gigante, Mark Boyette, Eric Dove, Jim Frangione or almost anyone else, I would cough up another credit in a heartbeat!!

You know, the sex really was good, I might have to listen to it again and just skip to the good parts...

Made me feel creepy.

Would you try another book from Sharon Hamilton and/or J. D. Hart?

Yes, only because I bought two before listening to this book.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Accidental SEAL?

In the beginning the heroine of the story is tied up and fears that she is going to be raped. As soon as I realized that she was going to fall in love with this guy I questioned what type of reader the author is targeting. I would have definitely cut this scene and pushed the author to find another way for the characters to meet.

Any additional comments?

I read romance to escape into another world and put myself in the place of the character. With this book I kept thinking how messed up anyone would have to be to fall for someone that she thought was going to rape her. I give it two stars only because of the narrator.

Best Narration I've ever heard!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, I love a colorful engaging story with suspense and passionate romance.

What did you like best about this story?

Steamy, sexy and beautifully written. I didn't know much about SEAL's before I listened to this book. Now, I have great respect for them.

What does J. D. Hart bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

J.D. brings the book to life in an honest, believable and engaging way. He has the sexiest voice that kept me enthralled. When he reads a romantic encounter, you not only believe it but you feel all the way to your gut.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Love and romance still exist.

Any additional comments?

I can hardly wait to listen to Sharon Hamilton's next romantic audio book!
