Christy Nelson embarks on her new career in Real Estate by holding her first open house, at the wrong house, by accident, where she finds the nude sleeping body of a man.
Navy SEAL Kyle Lansdowne, on a mission to find his missing Team buddy, is staying at his buddy's home while investigating the disappearance. When someone breaks in, he takes protective measures. He doesn't expect to find that a beautiful young woman is responsible for his teammate's abduction.
What starts out as a meeting by accident becomes a hot affair neither one is ready for. Kyle is conflicted about getting Christy involved in his mission, but his hand is forced when he learns the same San Diego gang responsible for his teammate's abduction has kidnapped her.
Battling a cadre of dirty law enforcements hell-bent on getting military equipment, especially state-of-the-art firepower, Kyle is forced to admit that he would die to protect her.

I read the book but loved the audible version even more. Loved J.D. narration, it was perfect for the story.Accidental Seal was the first military book I have read. But I have to say it won't be the last. I will be quickly picking up the next book in the series. This book was not only sexy but it portrayed real feelings that we all conflict within ourselves at times. The way we feel for someone when we know we shouldn't but can't help but to be in love with them. I just loved this story and how Kyle and Christy were always there for each other even when the odds were against them. I found Sharon Hamilton's writing amazing. Her descriptive writing makes the reading experience even more realistic. It was action packed and full of smokin' hot love scenes. The attraction between the two main characters is undeniable. There was also plenty of humor and sarcasm to go around. This author has quickly become a favorite of mine, and I will definitely be reading more of her work.
Tell us about yourself!
I loved the story, it was full of action and romantic as hell. It kept me going, building up and hoping and...we'll it had me all the way. I have just seen that second book is now available and I AM ON IT!!!!!
Cal Lansdown because he is just so yummy although I really did like no nonsense Christie too.
His raw, sexy and amazing voice. He made the seals, especially Cal even more "MAN" if that is possible. He completed it for me. I think a voice like that might be illegal, lol.
I purchased it on offer but would have gladly used a credit for it.
I love audiobooks and yet haven't found one with a performance as awesome as this one! This is definitely one you don't want to miss!
Now the story, it is a very good story with tons of action. The only thing I couldn't stand is that it is insta-love and our female character seems weak. I am a person that loves a strong character that doesn't make everything so easy for the guy. This chick is all but I love you and takes it every time he leaves her. Sorry but no I absolutely wanted to slap the chick!!! If this story had been set over more time and they met before the big incident or even the feelings developed over time I would have definitely said five stars but the insta-love, timeframe, and overly needy feeling from the female leave me not being able to. Believe me if these issues I have don't bother you, there is no way you could not love this book. If you are like me, I have to say the performance alone is friggin worth it.
Really liked the independent heroine who went after what she wanted. She proved to be what the hero couldn't resist.
Liked the development of the secondary characters. They were not just there for the sake of the plot but had depth.
I read this book a few years ago and I really can't decide which is better... The book or the audio.
Ms. Hamilton wrote a gripping story full of memorable characters, swimming with danger, and choking with romance.
Mr. Hart's vocal talents really flushed out the story and brought each of the characters to life!
Would I recommend this book absolutely!
Hot romance/Sci Fi we're so lucky to have Audible to feed our book addictions. I love walking my precious dog Sydney & listening to my books
Kyle - Spunky Alpha Navy SEAL. He is tough as nails when it comes to his job but when it comes to Christy, he turns putty in her hands. He is taken with her from the word go and constantly finds himself thinking about her, he just can't seem to stay away. He needs to stay focused so he is able to find his missing comrade/best friend. He knows if he can't keep his head in the game it could spell disaster for everyone. One thing leads to another and everything seems to start falling apart.
Christy has relocated from San Francisco to Sand Diego after her mother had died. She is embarking on a new career as a real estate agent with her first open house. Well, she has a slight mix up with the address and end ups walking into the wrong house where she finds a man sleeping. Naked. With eye's budging she thinks *Good God is he naked... and there it all starts.
Full of explosive action, gunfire, and lots of heat (in more ways than one) I found myself unable to stop listing to this book. You know it's a good book when you are reading and you find yourself making faces to go along with the scenes, and can I say, I can't wait to read the other teams' books! Narration was ok but could of been better, still very worthy of the credit spent :)
Okay so I am having a difficult time with this book. It is the story and the narration together. The story is just a little boring, and the narration is seriously bugging me. The narrator keeps pronouncing the name Armando as R-Man-Doe. But then when the other character says the name Armani. Okay so make up your mind...
Also, when you are getting attacked and think your going to get raped or killed the guy is NOT attractive. I had an issue with that too.
Anyway, I have decided this is not worth 11 and half hours of my time so I am giving up 2 hours in. This is going to land in my did not finish bookshelf. Sorry.
As for the narration, besides the mispronouncing of Armando's name, I wasn't real thrilled with his reading voice at all either. He did the female voices pretty good. I guess it is just me. Not a BAD narrator just not for me.
I got this book free on Amazon and 1.99 for the audible whispersync, So glad I did not spend any more than that on this book.
Reader/writer of Romance
I like to listen to books after I've read them probably because my mind wanders and I don't want to miss the plot. I love the narrator. He is perfect for the series. I prefer is narration over everyone else especially female ones for military series. The Seal Brotherhood series is fun and enjoyable. The sex is hot so be forewarned. After reading and listening to book several times I think it would be fun to have a book or novella on Det . Mayfield like a detective series.
I am not sure because I am not used to audio, but I was not so sure about the voice I was listening to. So, I gave it 4 stars. The one voice I could not stand was Christy's. The voice made her sound weak and very needy. As I said before, I am a audio newbie so maybe it is just because I do not like that voice. My favorite voice was of Fredo. He was very funny.
I am not sure what book could compare to Accidental SEAL because no SEAL book is ever the same.
This is my first audio I have ever listened to and my first book by this author. I like the idea that I can put in my earphone into my iphone and go about my cleaning, etc, while I listen. Or put the earphones in when I am at an appointment and don't want to speak to anyone I don't want to. The only thing I had issues with when I was listening was my left ear hurt a little at first. I have to have the earphones since my children are home and they love to walk into my room without knocking. I am an audible newbie! I was not sure what I would think about listening to an audio, but I loved the idea of being able to get up and do whatever needs to get done. There were several times I would put my iphone into my pocket and go down to the basement to change around the clothes in the washer to the dryer. Or I did dishes. Or sat on the front porch waiting for my daughter to get home from school.
In this book, we got a lot.
Was Christy involved in the AWOL Team buddy? Was she in the wrong house? Where is this AWOL Team buddy? What a way to meet a man? Who is doing this all? I love the nickname Kyle gave Christy.
I do like the book. Kyle sounded irresistible. Both Christy and Kyle had great chemistry and a deep connection. The descriptions was very well done and I could imagine it all.
I give this book 4 out of 5 stars.
Would I recommend this book? Yes! Author? Yes!
Would I read more from this author? Yes!
Listen to another audio? Yes!
I enjoyed both the written and the audio of this book. It was quicker to read the story for me as I read fast. The audio was longer and allows you to complete other tasks while enjoying a great story. I can't say that one was better then the other as I enjoyed both formats.
I like that no matter what happened, Christy never doubted Kyle was the good guy. The camaraderie , banter and loyalty between the team gave you a glimpse into a world that very few are privileged to be a part of.
I enjoyed the fact that each character had their own distinct voice. You could easily recognize who the speaker was by the sound of the voice so you never had to wonder who was speaking when.
I always like to finish a book when I start it as I hate to leave things unfinished. with audio books listening to the whole thing is not usually an option as it takes longer to read the book out loud and give it the attention it requires then to read the story in your head. I would have liked to listen to the complete story in one sitting but it was not possible due to the length and the charge to my device.
This was a great first book and I look forward to continuing the series in the future. I hope the continuing series focuses on the rest of Kyles team and will continue to enjoy J. D. hart's narration.
