Publisher's summary

Nola Leary would have been content to stay in Kilcairy, Ireland, healing villagers at her family’s clinic with a mix of magic and modern medicine. But a series of ill-timed omens and a deathbed promise to her grandmother have sent her on a quest to Half-Moon Hollow, Kentucky, to secure her family’s magical potency for the next generation. Her supernatural task? To unearth four artifacts hidden by her grandfather before a rival magical family beats her to it.

Complication One: The artifacts are lost somewhere in vampire Jane Jameson’s occult bookshop. Complication Two: Her new neighbor, Jed Trudeau, keeps turning up half-naked at the strangest times, a distraction Nola doesn’t need. And teaming up with a real-life Adonis is as dangerous as it sounds, especially since Jed’s got the face of an angel and the abs of a washboard. Can Nola complete her mission before falling completely under his spell?

Decent Story

This story was okay. It was pretty easy to figure out what was going to happen but it was still enjoyable. the fading in and out accent was a little strange but I definitely couldn't do any better. All in all it was good.

Dang You Molly Harper, Your Books Are<br /> Addictive.

Save your money people, if you read one you'll want them all. I started with "I'm dreaming of an Undead Christmas", then I needed to find out how the characters had got to that point. Snarky, sassy, naughty and nice Molly Harper Rocks!

Cute! If you enjoy the series, you'll enjoy this..

These books are fun, distracting, exciting, and they take away from the normal stresses of day-to-day life. Like a mini vacation into the armpit of Kentucky! Except all the men are beautiful there...

Good story, but...

I found it hard to listen to her "Boston " accent . The occasional Irish lilt was ok. I realize that the main Character grew up in Boston. But that she also had lived in Ireland for years. Using the accent only distracted me from the story.

It's a sweet story is some nasty villians

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes I would.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Nola. The poor thing, she has been dealt some serious crap in her life. But Jed is a close second. I'd have a agreed with some other reviewers on this one - I do love me some Jed.

Have you listened to any of Amanda Ronconi’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes. About the same. She does a good job. I read the narration was horrible and in the beginning you wonder at Nola's voice. It does sound like an Irish accent gone bad, but then you learn that Nola was suppose to have been raised in Boston and then moved to Ireland so her voice is a combination of both. I think Amanda Ronconi got as close as possible to that.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

The scenes with her Mother made me want to beat the woman.

Love Amanda Ronconi, but.........

I love Amanda Ronconi, but the accent of the main character seemed off for some reason.
This is a typical Molly Harper book, enjoyable and funny. I love how she brings in characters from her much loved Jane Jameson series.

A new angle on Half Moon Hollow Paranormals

What other book might you compare A Witch's Handbook of Kisses and Curses to and why?

This book goes right along with the others in the Half Moon Hollow universe. All the paranormals are connected in some way, and this brings our old friends back to interact with new members.

What about Amanda Ronconi’s performance did you like?

Amanda's performance is always outstanding. But she took it up a notch, with the Boston and Irish accents. Especially when a conversation includes, Southern twang, Boston quirk, and Irish drawl!! Awesome.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I always want to listen to Molly Harper's stories in one sitting. But I MUST break it apart, especially when I'm laughing uncontrollably!
