Emma Gavin writes best-selling novels about werewolves, but that doesn't mean she believes in them - and she certainly doesn't think she'll meet one. But that's exactly what happens when her books catch the attention of a rich and powerful pack of Manhattan Weres who have kept their existence hidden for centuries. Alarmed by the accuracy of her novels, they're determined to find out if a renegade is acting as her informant.
Aidan Wallace, the pack leader's son and heir, knows he's the wolf for the job, but when he gets close to Emma, they are both surprised by an attraction too strong to deny. To surrender to it, Aidan will have to risk everything -i ncluding the security of the pack he's sworn to protect.

I found this an easy and fun book. I will definately be listening to the next book in the series.
This was a great summertime read, lighthearted, and fun read. The narrator did a great job and there were some laugh out loud moments. If you are looking for a good paranormal book with a fun twist this is it!
Story line was weak, and the reader wasn't that strong either. If you're looking for a nice book to listen to on a lazy Sunday afternoon, this is it. Not very stressful or exciting, just OK. I do like a bit more suspense and erotic sex in my wolves, but you can't win them all. I'll try the next in the series to see if it gets any better.
I'm glad I didn't start the series with this first book. The books following this first one were all great, but unfortunately this story was lackluster.Emma(the main female character)was opinionated, bossy and whinny. If I were Aidan(the main Were character in this story)I would have happily settled for the packs pick as mate"Nadia".For an"alpha"male,he sure let Emma boss him around. Not one of her better books, but she sure got better with the rest of the series. They are really awesome.
Emma was a Jeckyl/Hyde adult/5 year old. She had tantrums, was selfish and was extremely stupid most of time. I felt bad for Aiden who was stuck with her because of her "scent". I was looking forward to getting this whole series based on the good reviews I read on Amazon, but I truly don't understand how anyone liked this story. It could have actually been good if not for the main character. Sorry.
Not the genre, just this author.
Yes, she did a good job. She had a nice voice.
I forced myself to listen to the whole thing (I like closure), I would not recommend this to anyone else. I was very disappointed, I really was hoping this would be a good series, but based on this book I will not buy the next.
I enjoy historical, paranormal, and contemporary romance. Also steampunk, sci-fi, fantasy, suspense, and fiction. I'm open to about anything
Setting: contemporary Manhattan
Genre: Paranormal romance
Everything about this was average. Probably, if you're totally enamored with this kind of plot, it may be tolerable. Or not, depending on your previous experience. I wouldn't recommend it as an introduction to the genre, because it may turn you off before you find the really good paranormal stories, both light and keep-the-lights-on scary. I got it because there were no more Molly Harper books to bring out the laughs, and I wasn't in the mood for a spine-tingler. It may have been a buy-one-get-one, so I had incentive to try it. Whatever...
Worth the credit? Nah. If you want it, get it on sale.
Her performance was ok it wasn't bad it wasn't moving it was just ok
Not at all
This book is just a simple light read something to listen to in the background if you miss a chapter or two you're not missing much
Show me the credits!!!! :)
This book is interesting and intriguing. You get wrapped in the ideas of werewolves and their interactions with humans in this modern romance. It has you wonder what will happen next and have you half yell at the girl to get on with it. Overall everything works out, but I think what got me the most was the author's view on how werewolves can pass in this world. How they grow and adapt and...how they are insatiable. I hate knowing that I got this book but after listening to the sample found it hard to resist. You get attached to the characters and learn their nuances to the point were you want to invite yourself over to their parties. Fair warning for anyone into Syfi, or romance, this one will sink it's grip and as all guilty pleasures are, hard to say pause to. ;)
