Publisher's summary

Emma Gavin writes best-selling novels about werewolves, but that doesn't mean she believes in them - and she certainly doesn't think she'll meet one. But that's exactly what happens when her books catch the attention of a rich and powerful pack of Manhattan Weres who have kept their existence hidden for centuries. Alarmed by the accuracy of her novels, they're determined to find out if a renegade is acting as her informant.

Aidan Wallace, the pack leader's son and heir, knows he's the wolf for the job, but when he gets close to Emma, they are both surprised by an attraction too strong to deny. To surrender to it, Aidan will have to risk everything -i ncluding the security of the pack he's sworn to protect.

My “were” doesn’t need fur

Loved this book when I first read it. Now my husband and I smiled, chuckled and sighed as we listened to this recording. I was listening in the car and found he liked it too. Now it’s on to the rest of the series; I just wish there had been more. We

Fun Furry Romance

Vicki Lewis Thompson has been one of my favorite print authors - I especially enjoy her Nerd series. Listening to this audiobook was my first experience with A Werewolf in Manhattan and the author did not disappoint. This story has a heroine whose imagination came close enough to reality to set the nearest Werewolf clan on red alert. Full of sassy humor and cuteness, this is a good book to get lost in for a few hours. Overall the narrator does a good job, however, at times there is a slight annoying quality to her voice when portraying Emma.

Not great.

I was disappointed in this book. I haven’t read any other titles from Vicki Lewis but I really expected more. I was mostly disappointed in the way the book ended. I felt like the book was missing a few chapters. I don’t think I will be listening to this book again.

Just OK.

Story line was weak, and the reader wasn't that strong either. If you're looking for a nice book to listen to on a lazy Sunday afternoon, this is it. Not very stressful or exciting, just OK. I do like a bit more suspense and erotic sex in my wolves, but you can't win them all. I'll try the next in the series to see if it gets any better.

I'm now a werewolf lover!!!!!

Would you consider the audio edition of A Werewolf in Manhattan to be better than the print version?

I really think the audio was super. The only way the book could be better is that there was more to it.

What did you like best about this story?

I liked when Aidan was willing to give up his family and/or die to protect Emma from his pack if it came to that.

What about Abby Craden’s performance did you like?

It's great when the narrator brings the book to life.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I laughed, cried and all the in between.

Paranoid Werewolves

Ok story. I can understand secrecy, but this was carrying it a bit too far. However, its a supernatural story so we have to go for the unbelieveable. Story was pretty good, narrator was also. Not much to complain about, nothing to cheer about either. 3 stars for the story.
