It’s Christmastime in London and Rafe Bowman has arrived from America for his arranged meeting with Natalie Blandford, the very proper and beautiful daughter of Lady and Lord Blandford. His chiseled good looks and imposing physique are sure to impress the lady-in-waiting, and if it weren’t for his shocking American ways and wild reputation, her hand would already be guaranteed.
Before the courtship can begin, Rafe realizes he must learn the rules of London society. But when four former Wallfowers try their hand at matchmaking, no one knows what will happen. And winning a bride turns out to be more complicated than Rafe Bowman anticipated, especially for a man accustomed to getting anything he wants.
However, Christmas works in the most unexpected ways, changing a cynic to a romantic and inspiring passion in the most timid of hearts.

HOPEFUL ROMANTIC. I Enjoy Historical & Inspirational Romances With Great Narration. Oh, And I give Honest Reviews with No Spoilers. ;-)
It was nice to revisit old friends in this series. I would call this short but very enjoyable. This book, as well as all the books in the series, is very entertaining. It is funny, romantic and emotional at times. All the books are well written and narrated to perfection!
Vince Flynn is my favorite author. I enjoy CIA or FBI thrillers, and sometimes light reading like Judith McNaught or Cathrine Coulter. Personal information, I became a grandma last year and love it!
Yes, the audio edition brings the story alive and helps the reader feel like part of the story.
All Lisa Klepas books
I thought Rosalyn Landor's performance was well done with all characters, I thought she did Lillian best.
Yes, it was difficult to stop listening to it.
The book is one to grab when life gets rough and you want a few hours of enjoyment and humorous relaxation.
I love all genres of books. However, when I listen to audio books as I clean, garden, drive they are better with a lot of heat!
This is a follow up story to the Wallflower series (which I loved) but isn't quite the caliber of the previous books. This is really more of a Novella, and the brevity of the story prevented it from being as deep in character or plot as Lisa Kleypas's books usually are. With that said, its still a nice "fix" for Wallflower fans like me who want to keep our favorite characters alive.
I was hoping this story would be an extended epilogue for the four Wallflowers and their husbands, but it turned out to be a story about Lillian and Daisy's brother Rafe. Rafe comes to London to secure both a fortune and a wife, and his father has made sure that he won't have one without the other. He doesn't really care very much about who he marries. He doesn't want to get married at all, so he figures it doesn't really matter that much who the woman is as long as he gets his payday. He is intended to marry Natalie, but her cousin Hannah consistently gets in the way because she thinks Natalie can do better.
Through all her scheming and plotting, Hannah falls for Rafe herself. Will Rafe return the feelings? And if he does, would he be willing to give up a fortune to marry a nobody?
There are a few scenes involving the original Wallflowers, but they are few an far between. There is one short scene with St Vincent and Evie that probably only lasts a page or two, but was actually more memorable to me than Rafe's story. The sexual tension between these two lovebirds is enough to make my heart race. Unfortunately, the main characters in this story don't make the same impact and I think it is just because there isn't enough depth in such a short book. There is also a short encounter between Lillian and Markus, but Simon/Annabelle and Matthew/Daisy unfortunately get almost nothing.
If you are a Wallflowers fan, this book is worth listening to. If you haven't already listened to the rest of the series, then I'd suggest holding off on this one until you read the series. It's not really worth the listen as a stand alone book.
I would love to read more of the Wallflowers someday, but if LK decides to do this someday, I really hope she does a full length book.
Rosalyn Landor was outstanding with the delivery of the story
Myst/thrillers, some contemporary and ✨fun fantasies✨are my favorites but always open for a good story.
A sweet Christmas story. Pomp and circumstance with sister commeradery mixed in. Christmas love always makes for a feel good romance.
I did not read the printed version.
All the library scenes. The scene with the toupee and the Christmas tree. There were so many delightful scenes.
This was the first and I found her narration fine.
Steal the ladies companion.
This book would make a good movie.
Kieypas great storyteller!
The girs adding a new wall flower to the club as an honorary member.
Book crazy mama
I have thoroughly enjoyed the Wallflower series. I am a great lover of historical novels and it was fun to watch the start of the industrial era in these books. Lisa Kleypas has become one of my favorite authors.
All of the Wallflower books.
She is truly one of the best readers I have listened to.
Lisa Kleypas had me laughing at some of the passages in her book and she had me crying at some of them. Great writing.
Entertaining, predictable, romantic
The other Wallflower Series Books. Each has the same story of finding the man, falling in love, some catastrophic event, and resolving the event, then getting married.
I love listening to her read. I select books based on her reading.
Not really, although there were times I didn't want to arrive at my destination so I could hear more of the story to see "what happens"
The narration was so good! It made you fly back in time and fall for everyone of the characters. You can't go wrong with this book if you enjoy, wit, charm and romance.
