Some parts too pervockarive
Mostly liked it. Great storyline. Great Scripture references. Really appreciate authors historical knowledge. Helps to understand The Bible and the culture of that time. BUT the sentual details were too much…. Made me feel like I was reading an ordinary, secular romance.

Exhilarating!
This book was very easy to listen to as the details within fed my senses & imagination. Francine Rivers simply did it AGAIN! The narrator was perfect for the different characters & scenes. A job well done all around. 👏🏾

Love this book not a fan of the narrator
Favorite book in the series enjoyed listening to it but some of the voices for the female character were cringe.

Loved It
Finally a book l listened to to the very end! So many times a book loses steam towards the middle but this one was so good the entire way. Now l can’t wait to hear them all!!

Dynamic and incredible
I listened to this entire book in only three days. It was so hard to think of anything else except of finishing the book, it was that good! Francine Rivers is such a great author and the reader did a great job helping the listener get into the story and characters. Can’t wait to read the next two in the series!

Hard to listen to at first
At first I wanted to turn it off the first two chapters as I felt the narrator was very difficult to listen to. But like many others by chapter three it becomes less annoying and you get pulled into book and narrator seems to find better rhythm and it’s less nasally sounding. The story is good, perhaps not the happy ending we all want but still a true account of what things were like. I feel for a Christian book it could have a little less description of sexual orientation. But all it’s a very good book!

The power of faith in God
Faith in God brings inner peace in spite of the trials and adversities one must face and endure. Hadassa was strong in her faith, and I felt the love and peace of God emanating from her. She touched my heart. I felt her anguish when she was frustrated with the un-believers, but she remained steadfast in her beliefs. I pray I would have the same kind of strength. A very good book.
