The first of an amazing trilogy

This book and it's subsequent two sequels have long been favorites of mine. Francine develops her characters with slow precision until they have blossomed into real life, full of their own passions, perspectives, and motivations. If you never read anything else by Francine Rivers, which would be a true shame, these are the ones you should be certain to read.

Tremendous story holding fast to the Scriptures

Would you listen to A Voice in the Wind again? Why?

Yes, I've read the series and will listen to it again

What was one of the most memorable moments of A Voice in the Wind?

Hadassa's rescue

What does Richard Ferrone bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He pronounces the many Greek, Hebrew and Aramaic words perfectly and just does an over all excellent job in the book.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes I think I didn't want it to end

Any additional comments?

I read the book years ago and didn't realize how much this book needs to be listened to!!!
The story comes to life when you can listen to and picture everything in your mind. It really showers you with the gospel, love, serving, wonderful book Praise the Lord for Francine's gift of putting the scriptures in this format.

Well written, but very Godly

If you could sum up A Voice in the Wind in three words, what would they be?

Very Conservative Christian.

Would you ever listen to anything by Francine Rivers again?

probably not

Any additional comments?

I bought this book (and its sequels) because other reviews said that it was well written, Christian literature or not. However, if you took the christianity out of the story, the book would be about 20 pages long. There is no version of this story without prostelitizing, and the sequel was worse.

Loved it!!!!!!!!!!!

This book is the story of a girl named hadassha. She is faced with many trials as she walks with the Lord. The book is very powerful. In my opinion it is one of Francine river's best books! Don't forget about the rest of the series though.

Reminder to LIVE For GOD

This is a wonderful book by Francine Rivers. It is fascinating to learn about the day to day life in Rome during the time right after Jesus' crucifixion. It is also a reminder of God's love and how He is where we need to put our faith and hearts and hope each and every second of everyday. The ending was a complete surprise and I am looking forward to the next book in this series! Also, at 1st I was unsure of the narrator, but give it a little while and you will see like I did that he is perfect narrator for this book!

One of my all-time favorite books!!! A MUST READ!!!

I read this book a little over a year ago, and equally enjoyed listening to it over the last few weeks. I would rate the performance 5 stars, however the chapters on the app did not match up with the recording and it was difficult to see where I was in the book.
