Gifted Ones, Yes Please!

We all have a little gifts deep within us, right? It makes you wonder. Dianne Duvall takes you on a ride back in time, a time with middle english, and a time that can be difficult to write about. She knocked it out of the park with her perfect style of writing! Alyssa and Dylan's story is one that, even though it predates her Immortal Guardians series, is one that will not disappoint! Take this ride because with Kirsten Potter as your narrator , you will be teleported directly into the 12th century and will want to keep the story going once it's finished. One might say you will not want to return.
Cannot wait for more of the Gifted Ones!

this book was great. it was nice seeing brief appearances by Seth and Roland. Lots of action and a wonderful love story.

I was skeptical about this book as I could not fathom loving those who came before. WRONG. I was drawn in and did not look back.

I thought it wasn't going to be that good because it seems once the characters are intimate, they lose the qualities I admire about them and become senseless ninnies. That didn't happen. Surprise!

Swords and sorcery, what’s not to like.

The author wove a lovely storyline leading to adventure, angst, mystery and finally a happy ending.

Loved the narration

I have to admit, I've had this book since way back in the day. I tried so very hard to read it but it just fell flat. I was thinking maybe because I am so in love with the author's Immortal Guardian series. Dianne Duvall is my favorite author. So I finally decided I would listen to the audiobook. Wow, did that make a difference. I just can't read all the thou and thus language. I did feel like the story was a little slow. The audio really brings it alive. The narrator is fabulous. And Seth makes an appearance. This makes me want to know more about the gifted ones. It didnt get into that much. I really wish we knew more about the past. Roland is also mentioned.

There were some really funny moments in this story. I loved the characters. If this is the first book you've read of this author and you don't like it, please give her other series a try. It's sort or a spin off but really a world of its own. It will blow you away. Also, try the audiobook. I'm not just saying that either. I loved it so much I'm going to listen to the second one. I can't wait to read Robert's book.

Bewitched and bedazzled

An endearing and engaging love story. Alyssa and Dillon are a captivating pair. I loved seeing their story unfold as they were surrounded by a myriad of characters and intrigue. Don't pass on this enjoyable read. Kirsten Potter's narration an enjoyable listen.

A Brilliant Love Story

I am so happy to have had the pleaser of listening to A Sorceress of His Own. As a huge lover of Dianne Duvall's Immortal Guardian series, I feel like this is the book that truly began it all. Although this book is nothing like the Immortal Guardian series, the gifted ones play a large part in this series like the other and link the two together.

Dianne Duvall did not disappoint and as always found a way to twine together the perfect blend of love, romance, suspense and the paranormal. An intriguing plot that keeps you locked in and engaged with the characters. What will come next and where will they lead you as they continue on this suspenseful adventure? Each character was well thought out and adds value to the plot of the story and their part they played. I didn't want it to end but can't wait to move on to Robert's story in book 2 of this series.
