Publisher's summary

That hot guy tied to Lissianna Argeneau's bed? He's not dessert - he's the main course! Lissianna has been spending her centuries pining for Mr. Right, not just a quick snack, and this sexy guy she finds in her bed looks like he might be a candidate.

But there's another, more pressing issue: her tendency to faint at the sight of blood . . . an especially annoying quirk for a vampire. Of course it doesn't hurt that this man has a delicious-looking neck. What kind of cold-blooded vampire woman could resist a bite of that?

Dr. Gregory Hewitt recovers from the shock of waking up in a stranger's bedroom pretty quickly - once he sees a gorgeous woman about to treat him to a wild night of passion. But is it possible for the good doctor to find true love with a vampire vixen, or will he be just a good meal? That's a question Dr. Greg might be willing to sink his teeth into . . . if he can just get Lissianna to bite.

Really enjoyed the audio version of A Quick Bite

Where does A Quick Bite rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Since I really enjoyed the first audio book in the Argeneau Series. I will be listening again.

What does Victoria McGee bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Victoria did a really great job with the tone and different voices on each characters in the book,

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

A lot of the parts I was laughing out loud, Since I was working when I listened to this audio I got a few strange looks from co-workers

a quick bite

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The characters were well thought out and definitely had their own personalities. The quirky way that the story takes you on a journey is fun and captivating. I would recommend this for all ages. (But is does have some sexual activities)

Terrible narration

Would you be willing to try another book from Lynsay Sands? Why or why not?

I MIGHT try another book by the author but not if it has the same narrator.

Would you be willing to try another one of Victoria McGee’s performances?

NO! Sorry, but she was robotic. I like my narrators to be full of emotion, not lifeless. The sound of her voice is pleasant but its just not right for a book. Maybe she should work narrating GPS or something. The only voice she did well was the uptight mother.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

Probably not

I enjoyed the book

I enjoyed this book. I was looking for a book series with a large number in the series. I wanted a series I could listen to for a while. I enjoyed the characters and their fun and humorous family dynamic. The love seems were steamy. I just felt like the narrator was a little robotic sounding. I look forward to the next book.

Why is Lissianna so clueless?

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

I would have made Lissianna notice what the Priest was trying to figure out.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Victoria McGee?

Rosalyn Landor would be a nice narrator for this book.

Like the story...not the narrator

I did enjoy the story. But it was hard to listen to because of the narrator. Unfortunatly alot of the humor in the story is lost due to the narration.

Narrator was awful

Is there anything you would change about this book?

This series is my favorite.. but this was REALLY hard to listen too.

How could the performance have been better?

This performance was very monotoned ... The characters individual voices were alright, but the rest of the story was painful

Narrator's voice and editing is poor.

Would you try another book from Lynsay Sands and/or Victoria McGee?

I would try another book only because I love the author's work. The Narrator's voice is computer-like (unnatural) and makes the story sound cheesy.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Greg and Margarite. Greg, for being the normal human with his rationalizations until he learns the truth. Margarite because she is the all-knowing, powerful and loving matriarch.

How could the performance have been better?

A better Narrator. Even with a better Narrator the choppy editing would be forgivable.

Could you see A Quick Bite being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

Yes, I could see the Lynsay Sands' Argeneau series made into a TV series. The stars would have to be young and physically beautiful but good actors in order to be successful. The Vampire Diaries have had success because of the qualities I mentioned but in this series they would have to be comedic actors.

GREAT book, HORRIBLE narrator

The story was well put together and the characters are great. Sadly, it is ruined by the narration. No emotion, inflection or any kind of depth. It was so monotone! Bleh!
