WHAT A NEW & AWESOME GIFT OF A LOVE STORY

Caveat emptor - buyer beware and Billionaire Noah should have heeded this immortal Latin phrase when he went to an Auction looking for a woman that would be playable, manageable and above all.... forgettable. What a refreshing and different take on the usual Billionaire love story and it had me glued to, and eagerly waiting to devour, every Chapter. C. L. Parker has written a book that was initially, and briefly, sad but she managed to turn it into a funny, hot, playful, romantic and sizzling story of mind games.

Mind games that soon turned into sex games and the sex games brought in emotions..... emotions that the very sexy, handsome and hung Noah wasn't expecting and hadn't wanted. Nor too was the sacrificial virginal Delaine expecting them either or the fact that her very talented Teacher Noah awakened desires in her she never knew existed and then feelings she tried to dampen. But their relationship was a powder keg just waiting to explode..... and explode it did with a feral lightening filled bang, a beautiful aftermath and a devastating heartbreaking cliffhanger.

There is also a sub-plot of a greedy slime-bag of a Partner plotting and waiting for his chance to take over the Company, drama as jealousy rears its green eyed head and some great secondary characters.

This listen was such a surprise to me, it had mixed reviews, however I just couldn't get enough of it. And the internal monologues with her lady parts were inspired and simply hilarious. My only complaint was the narration - Rockwell's was sexy, age appropriate and absolutely perfect however Rubyyy's voice was that of a teen or even a tween which didn't fit at all in the dual POV narration.

Worth a credit? Oh boy is it ever and joy of joys book 2 is here so no waiting, no counting the weeks days then hours..... no, instead I can blissfully jump straight to it to join in all the forthcoming heavenly (and hopefully sinful) action yet to come.

Warning, part 1 of series

I adored this book! It was immature and full of pop culture references and refreshing! If you are into adult novels where 24 year olds are accomplished and refined then stay away from this book! It had me laughing out loud constantly and the female lead Laney was a smart mouthed, snarky, hard core, full of backbone awesome female lead!

The male lead, Noah, is a damaged millionaire....but he's not scarred forever he has just been burned by normal life stuff and decides emotional entanglements are just too much of a hassle, so he decides he has enough money to buy a woman...well on loan for 2 years. Laney is a good girl, had good grades in high school but forwent the college route and the party route to take care if her sick mom...but when it is determined her mom needs a heart transplant to live Laney decides the only way to help is to sell herself for 2 years to be anything her owner wants her to be.

This book was full of great dialogue and I enjoyed the duel narration. Can't say enough good things about this hot steamy book about self discovery and the journey of Noah and Laney! Once again, the humor is immature and youthful, not refined and stuffy...kind of reminded me of Buffy to be honest, same stream of consciousness stuff, no filter from brain to mouth....it was so much fun to listen to! Highly recommended, but be warned book 2 isn't out until February!

It reminds me of Bared to You and 50 shades. We even got some Twilight goodies in here.. Yep some deep Vamp sex but with no vampires. Gotta read!!!. . Sooo good.

HOT, EXPRESSIVE, and SHE TALKED TO FAST. Slow down girl.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Yes, several ones. I love the way she Laney told Polly how they met. and how he met Laney.. Also Noah told Polly Laney had a sex change, from male to female, that is why he spent 2 million dollars.. Polly is his office manager and keeps his life straight. Polly could get away with anything with Noah.. that was why he spent the money.. I was dying. Also Laney told Polly she met Noah at a male strip club. I laughed at that girl..but she could not tell the truth. The best is why Laney told his cousin to jump if she felt Foggy.. She could take anyone on. And meant it. She was hard to read. She could fool anyone. They love to tease each other and others as well... Nope she was not having that. And got him right in the heart over that one. Also I love the way she can hold her own with this man.. She knew how to piss him off.. I loved the shopping with the Bi-sexual women..she was hot over that as well.. just over her undies.. A lot of good things in here.. to many for me to go over..

Let me say this.. If you handle the language and cussing in the biblical sense, (Personally I can handle any words but the one that cusses God very badly..its was used a lot in this book. I mean I expect it but not right behind each other several times..over and over again.. I can keep the erotic words and love hearing them,,but cussing God..come on. I just never heard that growing up and it's instilled in me. But the rest, I have not problem with.. Just the G-D word used over and over.. made me want to stop it.). Be warned, The erotica is this. is Hot and Heavy. And some new ones that I just adored for pet names for her and his body parts. WE have a lot of talking to each other during sex here, A REAL Turn on... the talking during love making is hot a great foreplay and he knows how to use it. And if you care for that..this books is for YOU. Oh my it's so there., This is a great romance erotic book. BDSM is in here, and I could almost do without that sometimes, when you just read one that was full of it. During sex, I learned some new words for the women's and man's sexual organs..New ones.. Yeah!!!,,,you can read and figure what they are talking about.... they did some great explaining and talking, loved that. and this book made the grade. In short, as it describes a lot, she is a virgin so you get a lot of details. HOT. And he is well endowed and that becomes a problem.. but a good one . So in the beginning. she sells her virgin body for a large amount of money for a good reason. But what you don't know is that this man has been hurt badly through over a couple of things, and takes it out of her body. And then he just becomes aware that she is not there to be hurt, for what he's been thru but she grows on him and he only want to care for her and she just reminds him she is an employee. and he wants to be more now. She don't care for it and it becomes a duel that is sexy and funny.. She don't mind that he is trying to help she would rather just be a big thorn in his side and make is difficult for him to be humble at times.. And then she feels for him, and it becomes a beautiful story.\ They can't seem to be without each other. Amazing how his KITTEN ( his pet name) can calm him down, She learns to say I'm sorry, but he suspects something is Wrong with his Hell Cat. The, story takes a turn and that is what I liked about this book. I got to keep my mind on just these two. It's just them..He even likes him large mansion to himself at night,, just for the two of them.. Now, that is super cool.. He like her to himself.
These books are getting harder and harder to find on Audible. I love them and think I have them all in my library and if not for some I keep up with I would not see the recommendations, I would not of found this..And listeners thanks for saying if you like these type of books, I adore them.It's a Hot story.Wish we had a way to notify each other to let them know this is one to read.. I hate taking chances and being so bored.

Not bad...

This book isn’t so bad. It’s a familiar story line..the rich man and blue collared girl. I wish there was more narrative from his point of view...but all in all it was pretty good.

I don't think the girl's voice matched that of the character. I kept picturing someone with dark curly hair instead of a blonde. Also, she didn't really do different voices for all of the characters, only one or two.

This book is a lot of fun and definitely steamy. I'm waiting anxiously for the next one.

Hot and sexy!

What made the experience of listening to A Million Dirty Secrets the most enjoyable?

I'd like to firt start off by say" yes yes yes " ...the narrators were amazing ...great voices and the story telling was believable. It's a must for all of you that want a great steamy story with caracters that are so whitty had me laughing and breathing almost simotanously lol....please get this one it truly won't disappoint . Mature ears only.

I didn't read the print version, but I don't' have to. My answer would be definitely.

What was one of the most memorable moments of A Million Dirty Secrets?

At the end when Lanie thought Noah still loved Julie.

All of it. I normally don't like two narrators, but this narration was so good.

This was just OK for me...

What did you like best about A Million Dirty Secrets? What did you like least?

I liked the story ok, but it wasn't my favorite. Some of the sexual terms used in the book were awful--very immature and annoying. The worst part was the main character referring to her vagina as "the cooch" all the time and as her "girly bits". It was so disturbing to hear some of the terms she used and was a little embarrasing. It was actually a little hard to finish the book because of that. Also, it ends on a cliffhanger so you will get no resolution in this book.

What about Rockwell Davis and Rubyyy Jones ’s performance did you like?

Rockwell Davis was great, and Ruby Jones did a good job but she did sound a little too young to be playing that part. It was sometimes hard to listen to her sounding like a 15 year old who is playing a very sexual, erotic part.

Now that's entertainment!

If this is your genre, you will enjoy the story. Narration can make or break a book. Please don't give me some old geyser narrating the part of a twenty or thirty something man, it's just creepy. Rockwell Davis does a fabulous job here. He is Noah! Rubyy Jones narration is on point. Let's face it, she's a young girl and so the voice a great match. . I like the fact that she is no doormat and understands her role in this relationship quite well. What I want to say is she is young, but definitely not dumb. Lainey really gives Noah a run for his money. The story is the the story with a believable premise, and it is entertaining. It was well worth the credit and yes I would definitely the next book.

GOOD READ BUT NOT GOOD NARRATION

I liked the story, I liked the story a lot. However, I was terribly disappointed in the narrator, the female one at least. Her voice reminded me of a little girl, it made it really hard to get into the great hot steamy parts. All in all I still enjoyed it but that narrator should only narrate children's books, not a realistic adult book.
