Invested

How the author gets you invested in the characters. Great story, even though the leads have a history. Usually I don’t like that trope, but it was ancient history so that helped.

Clean wholesome romance

This was a powerful story of how love heals & how imperfections do not exclude us from the love of God or others. I enjoyed the excellent narration & redemptive storyline.

God’s Pursuit of us never ends

Loved the audible version of this book. Kate Turnbull does an amazing job with the voices of each character. Kate really brings Becky Wades beautifully written words to life. The information on PTSD and how God plays a role in saving “tall,dark and brooding” Jake Porter is so inspiring. Through horses and Lindys friendship and faith, Jake learns a thing or two about love and life with PTSD. Inspiring story of how God’s pursuit of us never ends, even when we try to run far away from Him.

I don't have the words to express how good this book is, as well as the series. How will Lindy ever break through Jake's "tall, dark and brooding" demeanor?? This series is one of my top 5 favorites EVER! Please read it!!

I really liked this book!

I read a review of this book that had me thinking this was going to be a book I would have to grit my teeth and bear through. As I got halfway through the book though I started wondering if we were reading the same book. In no way, shape or form was Jake abusive toward Lyndie.

After Jake let himself love Lyndie he was so sweet.

A must listen

This book is a true treasure. The topics of diseases and siblings that have no cure someone dealing with PTSD and mental issues and the simple love of God involved a human everything. And yet at the same time, absolutely funny and delightful. To hear the possibilities, this book is a true treasure and worth to listen for sure.

Hard to stop listening!

Very easy to get into and then you don’t want to stop. Great fun story!
