Very near PERFECT!

If you like a hot steamy romance that is somewhat believable, this is book is perfect. The introductory scene and how they got to the steamy part is a little hard to believe, but everything falls in line perfectly after that. The narrator is also very good.

Definitely worth the cost or the credit. EXCELLENT!

Loved the story

This story was a pleasant surprise. New author and narrator to me I hope I can find more by them. The story line was interesting as were the likable characters. Romantic story for Erotic with honesty and passion.

Erotic (and surprisingly timeless) Love Story

Amazingly intimate, romantic and well developed love story!!

It is definitely erotic and more than steamy. It’s raw not just in the sex, and the desire but in the honesty of emotions revealed through it’s wonderful character development.

Though the setting is the 19th century English Seaside- it has a timeless quality. The characters are relatable in the sense that the feelings, emotions and desires are relevant to anyone who feels “damaged” in one way or another... the joy, love and redemption felt between the main characters is hopeful, and refreshing.

You will happy cry. You will sad cry. You will laugh and your heart will pound with anticipation...

I also really enjoy Victoria McGloven as a narrator!

Great story, too short

After all that, I would have liked the story to have been extended another day. I can only imagine what they would have done. I wanted to read about it!

Surprisingly good

I’m not normally a fan of Victorian Period Drama, but i really liked this book. Well-written characters and interesting premise. Very sexy.

The Most Wonderful Book in Forever

I wept several times during this novel. The chance meeting of two souls, both lost to their own private pain, and finding a meeting of not only bodies, but souls. I wish I could thank Ms. Schone for this beautiful work personally, but I will make do with this inadequate venue.

If you only read one one book by her, make it this one.

Great Character Development & Plot for Erotica

I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of character development and plot that went into this short story erotica. And it was all done w/o the "F" word. Kudos to the author. The narrator did all the voices quite well especially the male and female main characters. I don't usually re-listen to stories but I think after awhile I might give this one a re-listen. The plot and narrator were that good. Well done.

I love Ms. Schone! This was such a beautiful romance! I love the narrative and the Ms. Abigail and Colonel Robert! They each have their own problems and find such beauty and love in a romantic cottage! I could actually picture myself in the cottage! This beautiful story was erotic and emotional!
I loved the narrative and details, also, the witticisms! I enjoyed the narrators voice for all the characters!

Beautiful love and unique love story that revolves around honest communication and gorgeous, sensual love making meant to heal two lost and lonely souls. Highly recommend! Loved the narrator! She nailed the performance!

Hot! Totally different spin on Historical Romance

I was unsure of this author as I have not read or listened to her stuff....
I was drawn into the story from the beginning and stayed enthralled til the end!! A HOT and different spin on Historical Romance...definitely not a slow burn story. There was not a standard epilogue at the end and at first I was bummed. But truly this story did not need the extra words!!! Enjoy!!
