A Hillbilly Christmas (Formerly 'Moonlight and Mistletoe') | [Katherine Deauxville]

A Hillbilly Christmas (Formerly 'Moonlight and Mistletoe')

Alone and suffering from heartbreak and holiday blues, Buck Grissom has holed up at home. The last thing this manly Georgia cop could comprehend is that a Christmas miracle is about to arrive at his door. Heavenly, beautiful 19-year-old Scarlet O'Hara Scraggs and her younger sister, Farrie, have come from nowhere but arrived with a secret. Scarlett and Farrie's story is heartwarming, but is it enough to defrost Buck? Will these three get what they really want for Christmas?

A Hillbilly Christmas (formerly Moonlight and Mistletoe) should be enough to make anyone's yuletide dreams come true and their passion brought in from the cold....

    "100% Excellent Job"

What's not to like? That reviewEr didn't listen to the same book i did. A Hillbilly Christmas is a great book. I really love the Blue Grass moUntain music between the chapters, and the narrator does an amazing job. This is a good one, sweet and funny and perfect for the holidays. The almost last scene with the courthouse Christmas ceremonies is wild. Linda Lael Miler is right, I give it FIVE STARTS!!

"A book that keeps you on your toes!"

I really liked the book! It is a classic. The story, overall, is wonderful and keeps you at suspense. The narrator does a good job of keeping his voice entertaining by speaking and even singing differently for different characters. His voice is very pleasant to listen to. The music was calming and appropriate for the story. I did not find anything wrong with the book, so I do not understand what that negative review is based on. I urge anyone who likes thrillers or romance to give this book a try!

    "Boring and Stupid"

I'm usually not so brutal in my reviews, but I can't find anything good to say about this book. It's boring and just plain ol' stupid. The actions of the 'hillbillies' sounds like this book should have been set about 50 or 60 years ago, but it's present day (at least within the last 10 years or so...). I thought this would be a sweet christmas romance, but by the end of the book, I so hated it, I didn't care about any of the characters or a HEA. The narrator was not very good, which added to the dislike of the book overall. The most annoying thing however, has got to be the fact that music is played at the beginning and ending of each chapter...that's right EACH chapter not just the end of the book...ugh!
