Publisher's summary

USA TODAY best-selling author RaeAnne Thayne brings listeners back to the ranch for an emotional holiday visit with The Cowboys of Cold Creek!

Hardened rancher Ridge Bowman has long told himself he has no need for love - just work and his little girl are enough to get him through. But when his cleaning lady, Sarah Whitmore, gets injured on his staircase, well, of course he has to invite her to spend the holidays with him. It's only the responsible thing to do.

Only, Sarah isn't really there to work on his house. She came bearing precious artwork belonging to Ridge's late mother, and possibly a secret that could devastate them both. But as Christmas draws closer, so does Ridge - and Sarah convinces herself that she will tell him what she knows as soon as the holiday is over. She might be the key to his past - if only he could be a part of her future…

A sweet Christmas romance

I always enjoy RaeAnne Thayne's romances. I've only read a couple of books from this series but had no problem dipping in with #12.
Jorjeana Marie did a nice job with narration. I liked her voicing of the characters.

Good story, great narration

The story may be a little formulatic, and schmaltzy...which I love at this (Christmas) time of year, but even if the story wasn’t as good as it was, the narration elevated it to wonderful. I have tons of audiobooks, and I’m pretty choosy on which narrators are great, and which ones are so bad I won’t download the book, no matter how much I love the author. J. Marie is not only expressive, yet somehow mellow and soothing, she does an excellent job with the male voice, and the best ever childrens’ voice I’ve heard.

A fun story

Not a huge fan of Christmas stories in general. This is the typical Christmas story. But a sweet story line and enjoyable. Clearly part of a series but I read it out of order and was okay in following along.

Sweet Story

Courage, forgiveness, and understanding are just a few of the lessons learned in this sweet Christmas story. There is also heartache and happiness. This is a must read or listen holiday story. The narrator does a great job.

slow not enough

the story is, of course, predictable as is most romances... the reason for the meeting, the in your own head resisting the feels warfare, the reluctant acceptance and whirlwind romance beigins, the betrayal and parting, the realization of being overly dramatic, and then the happily ever after. this just did not have enough of the middle and was quite boring. I'm so sorry I'm saying this because I hate being negative and am assuming this was just a fluff piece while working on her masterpiece. I'll end this by saying, I'm not mad I read it, but I probably will not again.
