Once bitten, twice shy, and sexy P.I. Jackie Morrisey wasn't going there again. Vincent Argeneau may be the hottest guy she's ever met, living or dead, but she's here to stop a killer from turning this vampire into dust, not to jump into bed with him.
Rule #2:Never kiss a vampire...it can be a pain in the neck.
Okay, so Vincent's had 400 years to perfect his kissing skills, and he does look rather tempting when he runs around the house shirtless. He's also charming, protective...did we mention he can kiss? Jackie needs to be on her guard, or else she'll have to come up with a new rule: If you're going to fall in love with a vampire, make sure it's a bite to remember.
Love in vein: listen to more tales of the Argeneau Vampires.

Love the book but again this narrator sucks. Theres a strange cadence to her reading. She seems to pause in the strangest places. The guys do a better job with this series.
I agree with earlier reviews. Lynsay Sands is a good writer, but this narrator sounds over breathy and robotic. I will not download the next if it is a the same one...
Great writer but I edited out the sex, it gets way to detailed. I also think this book could be narrated better by someone not so robotic sounding. She sounded like she had a computer voice at times.
The book was great; however, I was very disappointed in the reader! Her voice was too monotone and seemingly uninteresting. I did not even finish the audio book and instead purchased the hard copy to read.
Thank you for allowing me to express my opinion!
I thought this was a great book, and the narration was pretty good as well, I like the voice. The story is a love story but it has a twist on it, if you like vampire romance with a little bit of thrill to keep you on your toes then you will like this book.
To accomplish great things, we must not only act, but also dream; not only plan, but also believe.
I enjoyed this story. Vincent the poor vampire who has to get his meals on wheels. Jackie and Tiny lost control of tthe case when uninvited guests show up and just sorta take over the guarding business. However, Jackie still got in trouble, so much so she became the newest vampire, but the shocker was who her master was. Blew me away! Totally loved Marguerite, one cool lady. Can't wait for her story.
Either You should refund all of Victoria McGee's books, or offer a new narrator for free.
I tried to just skip through the book so I could get the jest of the story, but that was even too Torturous.
Please, re-record all of McGees books and offer them to those of us who have purchased them.
The story was 4 stars but the narrator was worse than horrible. I forced myself to listen because I paid for the audiobook. I will NEVER buy another audiobook narrated by this woman. Avoid this narrator at all costs.
All of the Argenta books are awesome, however this particular audible book is awful due to the narration. The narrator sounds like Siri. Monotone and boring and almost intolerable. Read the book. Don't waste money on this poorly read version of a good book.
I enjoy historical, paranormal, and contemporary romance. Also steampunk, sci-fi, fantasy, suspense, and fiction. I'm open to about anything
Setting: Toronto, Canada
Genre: Paranormal romance
This is about a blood-thirsty vampire who faints at the sight of blood, and a psychologist who specializes in treating phobias. For her birthday Lissianna's mom kidnaps this guy, thinking he can cure her. Unfortunately, Lissiana's case isn't an easy one, so they keep him around longer than they planned, then they discover that he is her life-mate. Meanwhile, someone is trying to stake her.
This is an average story taken to a lower average by narration. Hey, I've discovered another name to my buy-the-Kindle-instead list. The best thing I can say about Victoria McGee is that her performance is uneven between books.
If you like light paranormal romance AND can deal with the narration, this is a good book, though you should get it on sale. On the other hand, if the story sounds good, get it from Kindle.
I've read these books and enjoyed them, it is a great pity the narrator is so poor.
