Once bitten, twice shy, and sexy P.I. Jackie Morrisey wasn't going there again. Vincent Argeneau may be the hottest guy she's ever met, living or dead, but she's here to stop a killer from turning this vampire into dust, not to jump into bed with him.
Rule #2:Never kiss a vampire...it can be a pain in the neck.
Okay, so Vincent's had 400 years to perfect his kissing skills, and he does look rather tempting when he runs around the house shirtless. He's also charming, protective...did we mention he can kiss? Jackie needs to be on her guard, or else she'll have to come up with a new rule: If you're going to fall in love with a vampire, make sure it's a bite to remember.
Love in vein: listen to more tales of the Argeneau Vampires.

Love the book but again this narrator sucks. Theres a strange cadence to her reading. She seems to pause in the strangest places. The guys do a better job with this series.
I agree with earlier reviews. Lynsay Sands is a good writer, but this narrator sounds over breathy and robotic. I will not download the next if it is a the same one...
Great writer but I edited out the sex, it gets way to detailed. I also think this book could be narrated better by someone not so robotic sounding. She sounded like she had a computer voice at times.
The book was great; however, I was very disappointed in the reader! Her voice was too monotone and seemingly uninteresting. I did not even finish the audio book and instead purchased the hard copy to read.
Thank you for allowing me to express my opinion!
I thought this was a great book, and the narration was pretty good as well, I like the voice. The story is a love story but it has a twist on it, if you like vampire romance with a little bit of thrill to keep you on your toes then you will like this book.
To accomplish great things, we must not only act, but also dream; not only plan, but also believe.
I enjoyed this story. Vincent the poor vampire who has to get his meals on wheels. Jackie and Tiny lost control of tthe case when uninvited guests show up and just sorta take over the guarding business. However, Jackie still got in trouble, so much so she became the newest vampire, but the shocker was who her master was. Blew me away! Totally loved Marguerite, one cool lady. Can't wait for her story.
Either You should refund all of Victoria McGee's books, or offer a new narrator for free.
I tried to just skip through the book so I could get the jest of the story, but that was even too Torturous.
Please, re-record all of McGees books and offer them to those of us who have purchased them.
The story was 4 stars but the narrator was worse than horrible. I forced myself to listen because I paid for the audiobook. I will NEVER buy another audiobook narrated by this woman. Avoid this narrator at all costs.
Its a great story. Loved it. This story rates a "re-listen". Too bad I won't. Only because the reader didnt give it the reading it deserved.
Vincent is great. I started liking this character from the previous book. He's wild and crazy and has an interesting feeding problem.
The performance could have been better if the reader had put more effort in the reading. She read as if it were a news article...no feeling and hardly no difference between characters. She spoke cleary though...a bit slow like she was reading to a pre-schooler. It would have been good to hear more differences between characters and differences of the love scenes, the tragic scenes or the funny scenes. Its a good thing I have a good imagination. I loved the story but it would be painful to listen to it again. This book needs to be scrapped and replaced with a different reader or if this reader made improvements...
Hello, my name is Teresa and I'm an addict.
A fairly good series, I enjoyed Love Bites, and Single White Female both were funny and while A Quick Bite and Tall, Dark & Hungry were okay I wasn’t sure this was enough for me to continue on with the series. After trying this one and enjoying it, although not as much as number 2nd & 3rd book in the series, I will keep trying and see how it goes. And I agree with other reviewers the breathy voice of the narrator does distract from the story. I see that she also narrates other books in this series and it makes me pause before buying and listening. Maybe if there is a sale.
