I love living in Cedar Cove, but things haven't been the same since a man died in our B and B. Turns out his name was Max Russell, and Bob had known him briefly in Vietnam. We still don't have any idea why he came here and - most important of all - who killed him. Because it now appears that he was poisoned. I sure hope somebody figures it out soon!
Not that we're providing the only news in Cedar Cove these days. I heard that Jon Bowman and Maryellen Sherman are getting married. And Maryellen's mom, Grace, has more than her share of interested men! The question is: Which one is she going to choose? Olivia - I guess it's Olivia Griffin now - is back from her honeymoon, and her mother, Charlotte (who's in her mid-70s at least), seems to have a man in her life, too. I'm not sure Olivia's too pleased.
There's lots of other gossip I could tell you. Come by for a cup of tea and one of my blueberry muffins and we'll talk.
P.S. Pay another visit to Cedar Cove.

"The books in Macomber's contemporary Cedar Cove series are like a box of assorted Krispy Kremes: light and fluffy but irresistibly delicious and addictive." (Publishers Weekly)
If one cannot enjoy reading a book over and over again there is no use in reading it at all. Oscar Wilde

I like her reading she has a very soothing voice helps to make you wan more
Former Waitress, Chargeback clerk, Clown, Florist owner, Clergy. Love series, humor, twists, history, mysteries, not into witches/bondage.
This is the 4th book in the series that I have read. I enjoy following the character's lives. It is nice to have the background of the characters repeated too. The plots are good. I find myself reacting to the character's actions with comments!
With the number of characters in the book, I wish two readers had been hiring. Some of the voices are a bit too similar. especially the men's but it is not enough to stop me from reading.
Only listening, did not read. But listening to Sandra Burr narrate the story I think makes it better.
Keeping the characters going, makes me want to keep moving onto the next book.
Grace & Cliff...Olivia & Jack...Charolette/Ben...well all of them
A lot of both to make you laugh and cry....I figured out almost instantly who the killer was once the story progressed, still was surprised as to the why. I don't want to give away any details.
Can't wait to read/listen the next one in the series.
Say something about yourself!
I love Debbie Macomber's style of writing. Her stories are wholesome and refreshing. But when the female narrator speaks in a male voice it just doesn't work for me. The men all sound the same and angry.
yes. more emotion
Sandra Burr is wonderful in all the "cove" series.
More audio books should be available at a more reasonable price.
The blurb suggested a suspense / mystery romance. I found the story boring to the point I kept zoning out. It is the first crime I have ever read where I have very quickly lost the will to find out who, how or why. From what I managed to stay tuned in for there was romance and the sadness of a lost child affecting a marriage. I found it took energy without giving much back. I gave up on it.
