Very nice
I quite enjoyed the storytelling and the historical background in this almost 4-hour book. The narrator was great. The book itself contained lots of elements I didn't know about Roman society, and it was all very well done and executed in a professional way.

You won't regret this
You probably won't regret purchasing this audio book. It delivers what it claims it does. The pronunciation of the words in this audiobook was terrific, along with all the info contained in it. Based upon that, I am happy that I got the book. It was truly worth my time.

Rebellion!
Spartacus was a hero. I'm glad he earned his spot in history, even though he couldn't make more of an impact. I like books like this. It also has some interesting facts about Roman society.

Interesting information but weird wording
The story isn't just about slaves but about Roman society generally. However, it sounds like of out of date in terms of the historiography, with descriptions as kind of absolute as if the entire society was the same. OTOH, there's a lot of information here that's interesting, but it sometimes sounds like a bad translation. Clients and protectors seem to be confused with each other. Why are men referred to as "guys" and children as "kids"?
