If you have ever been tempted to sin, and everything within you cried out for God's help, listen up. We all have days when it seems that falling is much easier than standing. We promise ourselves, and God, that we will do our best to serve Him, if He will just get us through this temptation. And, well meaning believers all around the world hope for victory, but keep falling short. What can we do? What is the key to fulfilling God's plan for our lives?

I would listen to this book over and over again! I struggle with temptation on a daily basis (yea, go figure I'm human). I'm so used to being beat over the head with how bad I am and how much I need to shape up when righteousness is talked about. This BOOK THOUHGH!!!!! actually painted doing the right thing in such a good light that actually made me want to go through the simple steps. I feel so encouraged and burden free after listening to this book! I have courage to face life and face my issues
I loved when we were continually reminded of Christ's power to overcome. The reader kept stating that it's not our power, and that was relieving, because I didn't have to do the work, but I was able to experience the benefits AS A GIFT!!!
This book! I was just so extremely encouraged!
I read and/or listen combined to over 150 books a year. And in 2014, this was by far the best investment of my time and resources. It's a book that you can take with you everywhere in principle. A lot of the more niche books that I read, I can see working in some part of my life that is isolated, but this substance of this book is applicable to every moment of every human life and experience.
Victory over sin
I most enjoyed the author's view of Jesus' wilderness experience. It was clear and concise and thoroughly explained how Jesus overcame temptation. In addition, this portion highlighted many similarities and how we can have complete victory over sin.
Jesus' wilderness experience
Yes, I had the desire to listen to the entire book in one sitting. However, I had an appointment and had to pause the book. I returned as soon as I could
This book provided specifics on how I can have complete victory over sin in my life. I thoroughly enjoyed the author's insight regarding worship and abiding with Christ as the true key to overcoming sin.
Hopeful, motivating, inspiring!
I would compare this book to my favorite book of all times Steps to Christ because I feel like I could read it again and again and never stop learning new things. Every once in a while you will experience a book that you feel compelled to share with everyone you know. This is one of those books. I learned practical ways of relying on Christ more day to day and that is priceless.
A must read for everyone longing to please the Lord. You'll want to put each lesson into action, yesterday!
If you want to change but don't know how, read this book! If you are discouraged and feel spiritually dead or board, read this book! If feel like you have a great relationship with God and don't need to change, read this book! You will find new insights that have never crossed your mind and God will use them to speak to your heart!
This is the kind of book I have to listen to repeatedly because there are so many lessons and points made throughout the book I can't remember them one time around.
She read with emphasis and seemed to reflect the author's meaning.
David's candid writing style is unique and it's like he's talking right to the reader, frequently in a humorous way though he's not necessarily trying to.
He doesn't waste time writing filler and fluff material but makes valid points and moves on. I like knowing I'm listening to substance vs theory.
This is a personal preference, but I would like to hear David or another male voice reading the book.
Great book and must read for all Christians!
