If life is about the journey and not the destination, could it be that this is heaven - this physical life we are living here on earth? What we experience in our daily lives often feels like anything but heaven. But what if we understood how powerful we are - that we are powerful enough to mold both our internal and our external realities?
Anita Moorjani, the New York Times best-selling author of Dying to Be Me, is convinced we can do exactly that. The process, she explains, requires dismantling many cultural myths mistaken for indisputable truths. Beliefs such as "we get what we deserve", "loving ourselves is selfish", and "coincidences are just that - coincidences" are ingrained within us from birth, pervasive and influential, leading to generations of misguidance.
Following her near-death experience, Moorjani began to embody truths she learned in the other realm, discovering that letting go of these outmoded myths allowed her to experience heaven not as a physical place but as a state of mind right here and right now. In this examination of our common myths, she shares stories and examples from her own life, revealing the lies beneath the surface of what she was taught and absorbed. By freeing ourselves from these falsehoods, Moorjani asserts, we can leave fear, heartache, and self-imposed boundaries behind and instead live lives full of purpose and joy.

Thank you Anita for writing this book. It's a much needed message about love, acceptance, and self-acceptance of all of the human emotions. A love unconditional, not only for others, but for ourselves first. There is only one way to have peace in this world, it is through finding it within ourselves and making peace with ALL the parts of ourselves and then spilling that over into the world. I know it must have been hard in the beginning adjusting to human life again after dying, but I'm so glad you did. Thank you. CJ
This book was Heaven to read...Anita, if you're reading this review Thank you! I learned within the pages of this book...the missing truths I've been searching for. And... as a result I have a keener understanding of how to move forward on my own journey. I love you.

You are amazing to be who you are. this audio book enlightened me mostly when you let the mother who lost her son to experience her lost and you went there with here because you knew your words of comfort couldn't help her that much...sometimes we need to feel our emotions and grief our lost in silence all we need is someone to just be present and silent at the same time. thank you so much for your teachings and guidance. I am sure Dr. Wayne Dyer felt that in you before he can meet you. Everything in life happens for a reason. what a beautiful soul you are. I love the whole book and how you read it. I would recommend this book to anyone who is willing to dare believe the contrary of our culture and upbringing. Be blessed!
I was riveted by Anita's first book, Dying To Be Me and just as much so by this book. The friend who recommended the first book said it should be required reading for everyone. I couldn't agree more, and this book should be added to the list. The wisdom in this book is profound. I would highly recommend it to everyone.
Anita, of course, but the stories she told about other people were very powerful too. The real life synchronicities are so heart warming that I was overwhelmed with the most wonderful feelings several times.
It's very hard to compare. I love listening to books and reading them. The two experiences are very different and wonderful in different ways that I don't really understand myself and therefore can't explain. If a book is very good, I sometimes listen to and read it. This is one that is worthy of both.
Yes and no. Yes because it is so good, and no because I just don't want it to end.
Anita writes concepts beautifully, allowing the reader to weight different possibilities. love how the book is structured and her beautiful, peaceful, and compassionate voice. continue being yourself Anita ♡
This is perfect as an audiobook, it's so good to hear Anita's voice sharing her experience and her thoughts, what she struggled with and what she learned. She has many ways of expressing her message, in reaction to the people she met along her road. Thanks for meeting me. I feel like she got down from her speaking stage and hugged me! The tension of growing up and struggling at the frontier of many cultures has made her able to speak simply and genuinely of what matters most. I'm looking forward to what comes next.
Both in person and through the medium of her books Anita is a very well grounded lady who is inspirational and completely at peace with the world with a healthy dose of common sense and fantastic insight 💞 cannot recommend this book enough
"Another beautiful book by Anita 💗"
Although I absolutely love Anita's first book Dying to be me, when I heard of Anita's 2nd book, my first thought was 'she has shared the most amazing experience in her life, what more could she write?'. I am so glad I downloaded her 2nd book, it gave me lots of comfort. I love how human Anita is when she shares her challenges after her NDE, I love how much compassion I felt when she shares others' stories and I love that I know I love myself more and more when she reminds us to love ourselves and how much I started to accept myself and others since I've read her first book.
"Thank you, beautiful book"
this is exactly what I needed to here right now to help me on my journey. This has helped on so many levels and I love the myth busting ideas. I feel a release of all the boxes I'm trying to fit myself in, in order to find my truth and life's purpose. Thank you for making this journey enjoyable again and a step toward finding my true self.
