That's the question the authors of Vintage Jesus seek to answer by breaking it down into a number of sub-questions about Jesus, including "Is Jesus the only God?" "Why did Jesus come to earth?" "Did Jesus rise from death?" "Why should we worship Jesus?" and others. Nonbelievers and new Christians looking to sit down and delve into the topic of Jesus, asking the toughest, most confounding questions they can think of, will find solid, biblical answers presented in a relevant, accessible way.

Mark Driscoll is not that great of a narrator, even of his own work. (He is a spectacular preacher, in his defense.)
However, the content in this book is fantastic. I am going to purchase a paper copy for reference. Great insight into God's word, with a touch of Mark's humor throughout.
This is a worth while listen. I found Mark Driscoll's witty sense of humor to be totally engaging. I was hesitant at first, thinking the book might be yet another Christian self help, but was pleasently suprised. This is a great laugh out loud look at peoples perceptions of Jesus and the true God/man behind it all.
I have listened to many of Mark Driscolls sermons, and find his delivery to be informative and real. I understand how some people may be taken back by his methods of delivering the message, but for me he is a gift.
Mark Driscoll is just a man like the rest of us fallen men, which he will be the first to admit, but his ability to take complex theological issues and summarize his perspective makes him one of my favorite people to read or listen to. Like any pastor/author it is important for the reader/listener to receive the information, read the word of god for themselves and allow the holy spirit to speak to their heart. What seems very clear to me is that Mark Driscoll loves Jesus, has a passion for learning and sharing Gods word, and is blessed with the ability to speak to those of us that have left traditional services feeling unfed. Thanks Mark. Keep up the good work.
Have really enjoyed listening to Mark Driscoll's sermons on the web and decided to purchase this recording. It is well done with humor and extensive study by Mark.
Mark is a fantastic writer who kept my interest and made me laugh with his side notes! Content was great as is usual with Mark but I did see him stray a little later in the book. He sided on a definite view of end times referring to the millennial kingdom of Jesus which is highly debated. Other wise I love it!
