Throughout his distinguished and unconventional career, engineer-turned-molecular-biologist Douglas Axe has been asking the questions that much of the scientific community would rather silence. Now he presents his conclusions in this brave and pioneering book. Axe argues that the key to understanding our origin is the "design intuition" - the innate belief held by all humans that tasks we would need knowledge to accomplish can be accomplished only by someone who has that knowledge. For the ingenious task of inventing life, this knower can only be God.
Starting with the hallowed halls of academic science, Axe dismantles the widespread belief that Darwin's theory of evolution is indisputably true, showing instead that a gaping hole has been at its center from the beginning. He then explains in plain English the science that proves our design intuition scientifically valid. Lastly, he uses everyday experience to empower ordinary people to defend their design intuition, giving them the confidence and courage to explain why it has to be true and the vision to imagine what biology will become when people stand up for this truth.

I bought the book as well, have read much of it but because I drive a great deal I wanted the audio book as well. I expect I will finish the book as well. Having both helps to grasp the concepts in the book which are challenging if you aren't a scientist but they are explained in a way that one can grasp, understand. It reminds me of some of the ideas I have learned from GK Chesterton and CS Lewis. Very interesting, fascinating. Complex inventions do not happen by accident. Everyone knows this to be true. Very encouraging to have a brilliant scientist confirm what my intuition tells me is obvious. I've always thought it odd that materialism holds such sway with scientists today that what is obvious would be ridiculed. But such has always been the case with scientific progress and truth in general.
Wonderful book and ai have read many on evolution. Many new insights and more than technical. Could not have picked a better narrator
Made listening so enjoyable
Douglas is a brilliant scientist and a great witness for the Truth!!!
Axe does a great job presenting a, basically, complete case. I love the science being a science teacher myself. I love the truth proclaimed being a truth seeker as well.
Mr. Axe does a wonderful job arguing the concept of ID from an intuitive position. He systematically scrutinizes common materialist thinking and exposes their flaws, while offering an alternative point of view worthy of consideration. Very well done!
Probably could have trimmed a chapter or 2, but very well said. I've been asking Darwinist democrats why monkeys never evolved; for years now, with no legit response. Think I'll buy them this book. "Fantastically Improbable"
personal stories from within big science controlled by the established religion of scientism/materialism reveals the dark side of human psyche.
Live a double life, in the morning and afternoon I am a very geek developer and entrepreneur, but at night I become a clown for my 3 kids :)
Awesome insight by an experienced and intelligent biologist with vast of experience in the field. Also with plenty of experimented proofs to support his insights.
Douglas Axe, P.h.D ingeniously poke some buttons that should've been poked many years ago and should been take in serious consideration about "facts" that are being forced in the classroom without a solid foundation.
The beginning of the book seems to me too philosophical but about chapter 3 and 4 all becomes clear, when Douglas start to present undeniable proof to support the statements, previously introduced.
In the last too chapters, Douglas beautifully painted with words how incredible would be if the scientific community would allow concerns, experimentations and observations to be, once more, the leading force that drives Science.
This book is also read very clearly, plus the format of language makes it easy to understand even for those not familiar with genetics, scientific insights or biology technical language. Extremely clear and refreshing.
This book by Douglas Axe was such a joy to read that I would start over again and I just finished reading it. It is clear and very informative. It helps me understand more and more how defend the glory of biology without conforming to the flag of materialism and Neo-Darwinism.
Overall was a great read which can equip everyone (regardless of technical skills) to tackle the difficult question regarding the origin of all life. In this book, technical science is only complementary, but plain logic and common sense reign supreme which allows anyone, regardless of background, to follow his points and come to his conclusions.
