Shame can take on many forms. It hides in the shadows of the most successful, confident, and high-achieving woman who struggles with balancing her work and children as well as in the heart of the broken, abused, and downtrodden woman who has been told that she will never amount to anything. Shame hides in plain sight and can hold us back in ways we do not realize. But Christine Caine wants listeners to know something: We can all be free.
"I know. I've been there," writes Christine. "I was schooled in shame. It has been my constant companion from my very earliest memories. I see shame everywhere I look in the world, including in the church. It creeps from heart to heart, growing in shadowy places, feeding on itself so that those struggling with it are too shamed to seek help from shame itself."
In Unashamed, Christine reveals the often hidden consequences of shame - in her own life and the lives of so many Christian women - and invites you to join her in moving from a shame-filled to a shame-free life. In her passionate and candid style, Christine leads you into God's word, where you will see for yourself how to believe that God is bigger than your mistakes, your inadequacies, your past, and your limitations. He is not only more powerful than anything you've done but also stronger than anything ever done to you. You can deal with your yesterday today so that you can move on to what God has in store for you tomorrow - a powerful purpose and destiny he wants you to fulfill.
Join the journey. Lay ahold of the power of Jesus Christ today, and step into the future - his future for you, a beautiful, full, life-giving future where you can even become a shame lifter to others. Live unashamed!

Very good read on how to work everyday at overcoming the lives of the enemy! Shame is a lie of the enemy and we do not have to operate in that, God has redeemed us!
This book opened my eyes to the truth behind the challenges I've been facing and equipped me with spiritual tools to conquer shame. Truly life changing!
Christine Caine at her best. I couldn't stop listening. It is powerful and makes me realize there is still a lot of shame that needs addressed in my life, lies if the enemy that I still believe. It revealed the source of attitudes and actions that I didn't understand in myself.
I have asked God to reveal all the hidden shame so that it can be exposed to the Light.
This is a must read. Although it is addressed to women, i believe men can benefit a great deal as well. Shame is not gender specific. It hits everyone.
Christine Caine is such a dynamic speaker with a dynamic story! Too bad her wonderful story was saddled with such a flat-lined narration. Disappointing...
The video's on the online bible study by Faithway.
It's very simplistic approach. I expected more than the same clichéd stuff that has been floated throughout the Christian community for years. God doesn't waste a hurt, wilderness wandering, etc. This book needed more of Christine's personal stories. I felt like the book held the reader at arm's length.
Yes. I think this book would be great for teen & pre-teen study groups. Adult women need a lot more.
I bought the audio. The study guide. Then did the online bible study. The best stuff was written by the gal leading the online study with Faithway. Her stories were great! I wish she had written the book.
The time listening to this book was well-spent strictly for the message.
No! When you know the author, the reader naturally takes some getting used. O'Shea is on the complete opposite end of the spectrum when compared to Christine Caine's vibrant character and way of speaking. O'Shea's reading seemed unbearingly slow, monotone and dull. She was just not well suited to reading this book.
It takes awhile to get to the good stuff but the last couple chapters are really quite profound. While I've learned a lot more about shame and vulnerability from Brene Brown, the biblical perspective added in this book makes all that learning so much deeper for me personally
This book is EXACTLY what I needed to hear. Christine is so open and honest and speaks so much truth. The Lord definitely used her words to speak to me and open my eyes and heart.
It is a powerful book!
Firstly the narration is terrible imho. Her accent isn't the easiest on the ear and she speaks as if you have only just learned English; I had to increase the speed to x1.2 otherwise I would not have made it past chapter one.
The story is interesting to a point, but after a while it just seems like the book is covering old ground and could have been shorter.
I ended up playing the book at low volume after switching bedside light off and fell asleep on more than one occasion.
Is this one "Un...." book too many? I fear it might be.
"I couldn't put it down"
Brilliant inspiring book, that allows you to really think deep and your purpose, there were lots of thought out references to the bible which really helped.
"This book has healing power"
This book will help you develop an amazing relationship with God. It will bring comfort and healing and help bring love and peace within. I feel this book has help me understand my divine purpose. I have struggled with an eating disorder for years of my life now more than half my life. This has brought so much understanding for years I thought I was broken and there was something wrong with me. With God all things are possible and I feel the miracle working within me. Read this book it will help you with any struggle you are facing. God is working through Christine Caine beautiful work. Thank you
