Using Paul's radical letter to the Philippians as his road map, Matt Chandler forsakes the trendy to invite listeners into authentic Christian maturity. The short book of Philippians is one of the most quoted in the Bible, yet Paul wrote it not for the popular sound bites, but to paint a picture of a mature Christian faith. While many give their lives to Jesus, few then go on to live a life of truly vibrant faith. In this disruptively inspiring audiobook, Chandler offers tangible ways to develop a faith of pursuing, chasing, knowing, and loving Jesus. Because if we clean up our lives but don't get Jesus, we've lost! So let the goal be Him. To Live is Christ, To Die is Gain - this is the message of the letter. Therefore, our lives should be lived to Him, through Him, for Him, with Him, about Him - everything should be about Jesus.

To live like what is described through Paul's experiences in rejoicing, humility and maturity as a true follower of Christ, is I could conclude from this book. I found God speaking in all of circumstances I've been facing up, when enemies attack from many directions, I found that my home is where God is. He is ALL I need, so I have EVERYTHING. All praise to God who is good and ALWAYS good!! ❤️🙏📖
Matt Chandler does an excellent job of explaining that we should take choose joy our Christian Life. He is clear that Joy is not a situation but it's a choice empowered by the Holy Spirit.
Provided the cultural context of Philiipians in a very relatable way and gave wonderful insight into Paul's character and mindset. The analogies to our modern world made the narrative relevant and I feel that I have a much more thorough understanding of Philipians.
