Publisher's summary

Deus absconditus

"Why does God hide himself?" is asked at times, not only by atheists or agnostics seeking to cast doubt on God's existence, but also by believers seeking a personal experience with God. What happened during the three days and three nights Jesus was in the tomb? What did he do? What do we, as Orthodox Christians, believe about the Godhead? Is the word "trinity" used in the Bible? What do words like "divinity" mean? What do we mean when we say: Jesus is of the same essence as the Father and Holy Spirit? What ministries did Jesus perform? Whatever happened to sin? What is a "theophany"? What is meant by the term "hypostatic union"? What are the divine attributes assigned to Christ?

Sola scriptura

Mankind's understanding of God is not based on speculation or philosophical principles, but on revelation of the word of God.

Engaging and thought provoking

Would you listen to Three Days and Nights to Glory again? Why?

Yes. Well actually I've listened to this book many times already. However I found it difficult to get through the first time due to so much information. The reason I listened to it the second time was to gain greater insight to the book as a whole. I highly recommend if you are having difficulty listening to it for the first time, know this... the second time brings light to those difficult points.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Three Days and Nights to Glory?

Being raised Baptist I was not exposed to people who had spiritual gifts. It wasn't until I was in my college years was my first encounter. Since then (over 20 years now) I was reluctant or even open minded to the topic. In the past 3 years I have gone through some spiritual seeking. CK explained this topic with great ease but clarity that I am now of the curious mind to understand more.

Which character – as performed by Lynn Benson – was your favorite?

I don't have a favorite, sorry.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I travel for work, so I have plenty of dashboard time. This book took me short of a week's worth of driving. Since my first time reading/hearing I was fed questions that caused me to yearn for hearing it again, and even again a few additional times.

Any additional comments?

I have already suggested this book to a few of my friends. It has opened my mind to some engaging discussions that I can now go deeper. If you are looking to be feed spiritual curiosity, like I was, I highly encourage you to get this book!
