Matthew Kelly exposes the lifestyle challenges and problems that face us in this age obsessed with noise, speed, and perpetual activity. Kelly's message rings out with a truth that is challenging and unmistakably attractive, "Who you become is infinitely more important than what you do, or what you have". Are you ready to meet the best version of yourself?
The Rhythm of Life is a brilliant and clear-eyed rejection of the chaotic lifestyle that has captured the world, written with common sense, humor, and extraordinary insight. This audiobook is destined to change lives.

"I loved this book! It provides significant insight into living a happier, healthier, more rewarding life." (Dr. Stephen R. Covey, author of The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People)
Matthew Kelley's "rhytum of life" is one of the best books I have listened too on Audible. It is a timely message delivered in manner that makes Kelley one of the best speakers I have heard in years. I went out a purchased the book for each of my children and have given it as gifts to my clients.
Matthew Kelly is just one of those bona fide motivational speakers and if you want an audiobook that's going to satisfy your heart and mind........ this is the "kind of audiobook" you should listen to. He's a truly phenomenal author. If you're a little iffy in purchasing this audiobook... don't be. It's worth your money. I've listened to it myself many many times. It's an excellent treat to your soul. ;-)
Audiobooks keep me sane- great actors are much better voices in my head than my own. I prefer sf&f, but occasionally fall back on high lit.
The first section of this book explains some core principles that work for anyone. Once you start to get into the "meat" of the book, however, you discover that Mr. Kelly is a Christian, and two of the three tenets of the "Rhythm" involve the Judeo-Christian principles of prayer and the 7th day being one of rest. Being a Buddhist, these can be applicable to me, but some people may find this to be a little "high handed" and Evangelical. If you can get past that, this book may be quite useful to you.
The only reason I'm giving this wonderful book 4 stars instead of 5 is that it is so heavily, heavily abridged. I recommend it highly for those who are not familiar to Mr. Kelly's work -- it is a great introduction.
This is my first review, putting my thoughts on paper isn’t one of my strengths so please bear with me. After decided to take a new direction in my life and at the age of 54 years, I am on a journey of renewal. So to find meaning in life and to hopeful unleash my potential, I have bought and downloaded several books from Audiobooks, now 17 in total.
Each book has offered differing insights and benefits but for me The Rhythm of Life is the one that made the penny drop. The messages within the book are simple but very profound. It not a quick fix book like many other books I have read over the years but a book that suggests, life is a journey, a journey of discovery, a journey to become the best we most possibly can.
Matthew Kelly understands on what our deeper needs are as humans are amazing for some of his years. I would not hesitation recommend his book, The Rhythm of Life to anyone who is looking to create a life with meaning and purpose.
For a self help book I rate it near the top.
Listening to how he simplifies the things that matter in life,
I find Mr. Kelly to be genuine and believable. I recommend this book and will listen to it again.
I found this book to be very enlightening and encouraging...it allows you to self-reflect a great deal on where you are versus where you should be -- certainly worthwhile!
If your life hasn't been sheltered, and you know the pain that life can bring, this man can be, and wants to be your friend. Practical life lessons mixed with a personal, warm and humble approach. Thank you Matthew Kelly just for being here, and helping me find more ease in my life and love!
