"Without a hint of exaggeration," says pastor and author Bill Hybels in this unabridged audio, "the ability to discern divine direction has saved me from a life of sure boredom and self-destruction. God's well-timed words have redirected my path, rescued me from temptation and re-energized me during some of my deepest moments of despair."
In The Power of a Whisper, a vision is cast for what life can look like when God’s followers choose to hear from heaven as they navigate life on earth. Whispers that arbitrate key decisions, nudges that rescue from dark nights of the soul, promptings that spur on growth, urgings that come by way of another person, inspiration that opens once-glazed-over eyes to the terrible plight people face in this world…. Through firsthand accounts spanning 57 years of life, more than 30 of which have been spent in the trenches of ministry, Hybels promotes passion in Christ-followers' hearts for being wide open to hearing from God - and for getting gutsier about doing exactly what he says to do.

I just finished listening to this book, it is very insightful and will help anyone that is searching. It doesn't matter if you are a babe in Christ or a more mature leader in Christ. This information is focused, moving and if your not impacted, you best get on your knees and have a serious talk with God.
This book ranks 3rd in my long list of books.
Bill Hybels because he shared some of his experiences and lessons learned in a way that I could identify with and grow spiritually.
Scott Brick is my absolute favorite.
It made me reflect, laugh and cry.
If you're looking to deepen your walk and prayer life with God, this is a book worth reading several times. I know I intend to. Deeply spiritual and thoughtfully written, Hybels walks you through his own journey of learning to listen to God more closely and how it has impacted his life, lessons he's learned and he invites you to take the same journey.
I believe this to be one of my top books to listen to. It truly spoke to me and I just embraced it I mostly listen to it on my drives between sites and it was hard to pull away from God's message was coming through.

"God's Whispers are important"
This book is a great encouragement, with real life scenarios that I can identify with. A reminder to listen out for what God is saying and proximity to Him. His voice has been a guide in my life's decisions for over 30 years. The fact that pastors also make mistakes and God intervenes with advice & wisdom helps knowing that God loves us, whoever we are.
