It's a good one

Narrator is fine, background music is low and not distracting. Probably my favorite version, and I wanted to keep listening. Sometimes the Old Testament is a chore, but this was well done. I will listen to this again.

A nice way to get a daily consumption of Scripture

Listening at 2x speed isn't too fast neither, therefore I feel confident that I can even listen to the whole ESV Bible once a month thanks to colorful performance of the reader.

Good recording - Great translation

The recording is high quality with some soft background music that I at 1st thought would be distracting, but after listening for a while found it not to be so.
This is the 1st time I have listened to the ESV and must say that I really enjoy the way it flows. Very simple yet accurate translation. I currently read from the NKJV but I will probably switch to this with the purchase of my next Bible.

Two great aspects and one drawback

1. The narration is compelling but not annoying.
2. The ESV is used.

However, the various books are not listed when one looks at the audible app. I had to go through each of the 70 or 80 chapters and put bookmarks for the names of each book. that was a lot of work. I still cannot find the books in my side open that section and read the book marks. a way to label each section would help me find which part I want to listen to.

Listener's Bible ESV Max McLean

This is an excellent reading of the Holy Scriptures. Mr. McLean's voice is clear and distinctive. McLean's voice is one of the few voices out there that can do justice to the beauty and majesty of God's Word.

God will guide us until death. psalm 48:14.

someone once said either sin will keep you from the Bible or the Bible will keep you from sin. there is nothing more constructive the person can do in a day them to read the Bible. it is your guide, your Pillar of Strength, and your power source. those who read it benefit. Those who neglect it suffer loss.
