Best-selling author Scott Hahn sheds new light on the Mass, offering readers a deeper appreciation of the most familiar of Catholic rituals.
Of all things Catholic, there is nothing that is so familiar as the Mass. With its unchanging prayers, the Mass fits Catholics like their favorite clothes. Yet most Catholics sitting in the pews on Sundays fail to see the powerful supernatural drama that enfolds them. Pope John Paul II described the Mass as "heaven on earth", explaining that what "we celebrate on earth is a mysterious participation in the heavenly liturgy."The Lamb's Supper reveals a long-lost secret of the Church: The early Christians' key to understanding the mysteries of the Mass was the New Testament Book of Revelation. With its bizarre imagery, its mystic visions of heaven, and its end-of-time prophecies, Revelation mirrors the sacrifice and celebration of the Eucharist.Beautifully written, in clear direct language, best-selling Catholic author Scott Hahn's new book will help readers see the Mass with new eyes, pray the liturgy with a renewed heart, and enter into the Mass more fully, enthusiastically, intelligently, and powerfully than ever before.

"Hahn's enthusiasm...is considerable - and infectious. Furthermore, he delivers his arguments with great levity (demonstrated in chapter titles such as "Oath Meal"), which makes The Lamb's Supper quite a tasty read." (Amazon.com review)

Would you like to deepen your insights into Holy Mass, the Book of Revelation, and Catholic/biblical prophecy? Would you like have a clearer understanding how Revelation relates to the rest of Sacred Scripture? This is a quality book for beginners or those with some knowledge base.
Great book that opens up what I consider the most intimidating book of the New Testament. For Catholics, you will gain a new appreciation for the mass and its biblical and celestial roots. For Protestants, this book will help in the understanding of why Catholics have been doing the same things on Sunday for hundreds of years.
This has changed my life and enhanced my appreciation for the Mass exponentially. I highly recommend this for anyone who wants to know more about what those crazy Catholics do at Mass as well as Catholics who want to gain a deeper understsnding.
It does get complex for us at times in the story but it is all in there and we ve read it many times in the bible and heard it many times in Mass. is is a different experience for me now when I engage with everyone else in Mass. Scott is the perfect reader.
I have been giving a day long catechisis on the mass for years and this book widened my understanding enormously. It also deepened my understanding of the Apocalypse greatly.
Excellent food for thought. Discusses well the Mass and the Book of Revelation. He presents that Mass and Revelation are interconnected and that Mass is the key to understanding the Book. Scott Hahn is an excellent reader. Met my expectations.
I totally loved this book. I've never thought of Revelation in this way. and I've never thought of the Mass in this way. it tied them both together for me
