is to those for whom the divine has become a playground of church socials, sing-a-longs and comforting, warm and fuzzy little sermons about Ruth and Naomi, for those who have long left behind the deeper and harder seekings after goodness, truth and justice in its purest and most challenging form. Tozer's message is one that always needs to be heard and heeded.
Great read, Listen. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to see a glimpse of God, who wants to know God better and who wants to understand the God we serve and worship.
Listening to this as I did my early morning walk through the neighborhood gave such an awesome appreciation to such a Mighty and Exalted God that watches over us daily.
God, who is the central and only character of this book.
No, this was my first
It made me awestruck at the thoughts of how great God is.
The narrator of this wonderful book made it impossible for me to listen to more than 3 chapters. His over-the-top reading became so irritating that I could not concentrate on the deep insightful message at all. I'll rather buy the book and read it / enjoy it.
First of all this is a 5 star BOOK - a classic that belongs on every Christian's bookshelve.
The 1 star rating is for the narrator. I can't even listen to him. His voice and delivery are the
audio book equivalent of figernails on a blackboard. He is TONE DEAF to the subject matter of
book he is reading. His strident, frenetic reading is just plain annoying, to the point that, as I
said, I cannot even listen to it.
I read this book once every year or two because it is an essential to the Christian life. I highly recommend it to every one who wants to do a study of God. A W Tozer has a handle on The attributes of God and makes them extremely practical.
This book was insightful. Extremely detailed. Well thought out. Could only be explained through the lenses that God allows man to strain through to see Him. Well done God. Via AW Tozer
I think the problem with Christians is that they have no clear understanding of who God is. This small work does much to correct to.
