    "Once again, Tozer's Message..."

is to those for whom the divine has become a playground of church socials, sing-a-longs and comforting, warm and fuzzy little sermons about Ruth and Naomi, for those who have long left behind the deeper and harder seekings after goodness, truth and justice in its purest and most challenging form. Tozer's message is one that always needs to be heard and heeded.

"Classic Study on the Attributes of God"
What made the experience of listening to The Knowledge of the Holy the most enjoyable?

Listening to this as I did my early morning walk through the neighborhood gave such an awesome appreciation to such a Mighty and Exalted God that watches over us daily.

Who was your favorite character and why?

God, who is the central and only character of this book.

Have you listened to any of Scott Brick’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

    No, this was my first

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It made me awestruck at the thoughts of how great God is.

    "Poor narration"

First of all this is a 5 star BOOK - a classic that belongs on every Christian's bookshelve.

The 1 star rating is for the narrator. I can't even listen to him. His voice and delivery are the
audio book equivalent of figernails on a blackboard. He is TONE DEAF to the subject matter of
book he is reading. His strident, frenetic reading is just plain annoying, to the point that, as I
said, I cannot even listen to it.

    "Rather buy the book"

The narrator of this wonderful book made it impossible for me to listen to more than 3 chapters. His over-the-top reading became so irritating that I could not concentrate on the deep insightful message at all. I'll rather buy the book and read it / enjoy it.

    "Profound and Reverent"
Would you listen to The Knowledge of the Holy again? Why?

Yes: I will probably listen to this on a regular basis.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

This book pricks my heart with deep reverence every time I hear/read it.

    Any additional comments?

The Knowledge of the Holy is a book that Christians in our modern world desperately need to read/hear. Tozer writes in this book about the inexplicably disastrous effects of having a Church that does not study who God is through His revealed attributes manifested to us in His Word. And we need just to look around in the churches today to see the apathy and deadness all around us caused by our irreverent or "low" (as Tozer put it) view of God. God says that He opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble: this book helped reveal the spirit of humility to me because it purely exalts God high as He truly is the Most Hight, above all else.

Would you listen to The Knowledge of the Holy again? Why?

    The Principles are timeless

    Any additional comments?

If a book is fat it is usually fluff, every sentance is packed with wisdom.
