Powerful story.
This is a wonderfully written powerful story that everyone should hear. Corrie ten Bloom gives each of us a peek into her family & their lives. These are amazing people who made life bearable for others. They put their lives & their families lives at risk & suffered to help other people live & escape unimaginable circumstances that we can only imagine today. The performance of this book was wonderfully done & painted pictures for the listener to easily envision as they hear the story unfold.

memorable
thirty years ago this book was most probably my official introduction to the Holocaust. since then I have read several books and watched several documentaries on the topic...
this week I reread THE HIDING PLACE. it’s like none of the other books. this book is about the deep love that the Ten Boom Family had for everyone they encountered...eventually even the brutal concentration camp / prison guards.
it’s a must read. and an even more meaningful read when you have some years under your belt.
