Publisher's summary

Corrie ten Boom was a Dutch watchmaker who became a heroine of the Resistance, a survivor of Hitler's concentration camps, and one of the most remarkable evangelists of the 20h century.

In World War II she and her family risked their lives to help Jews and underground workers escape from the Nazi's, and for their work they were tested in the infamous Nazi death camps. Only Corrie among her whole family survived to tell the story of how faith ultimately triumphs over evil. Here is the riveting account of how Corrie and her family were able to save many of God's chosen people.

For 35 years millions have seen that there is no pit so deep that God's love in not deeper still. Now The Hiding Place, repackaged for a new generation of readers, continue to declare that God's love will overcome, heal and restore.

Enthralling.

An incredibly emotional journey through the best, and the very worst that humanity has to offer. This pushed me to examine my own Christian faith and true gratitude to Christ! It was difficult to stop listening.

Beautifully written

Loved this book. So many sad stores from the war and the strength of the Jews during their times and those that helped them put my life and trivial problems into perspective.

I felt I knew Corrie. Her story was told so vividly. I felt like I was there. I felt her and Betsy’s joys, fears and pain. I believe I will listen one more time… bless you Corrie.

A Must Read

Would you listen to The Hiding Place again? Why?

Yes, very moving book and I know that I miss pieces when listening because my attention may be drawn away. I believe that a person would benefit from more than one time through this book.

What other book might you compare The Hiding Place to and why?

The book of Revelation. The trials that those people endured had to seem to them like they were living in the end times.

What does Bernadette Dunne bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She brings a personality to each character in the book with the influx of emotion and diction in her voice.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

So many. But the ending when Betsy's visions are realized by her sister.
