Ravi is always a very cogent thinker, but this book struck me a more than just his normal insightful teaching. Rather than being being an essay on a single theme, this to me seemed to be a type of "unifier" of the themes that God writes on our lives each day. A particuarly helpful book if you are seeking for God's pattern in your life.
Ravi Zacharias is a public speaker as well as an author, and he is the perfect narrator for this beautifully written, inspiring book. The Grand Weaver works well in the audible format although a number of times I have stopped the recording in order to write down something that is especially notable. Well worth the purchase.
yes The book is encouraging to me as I pass through difficult times, as the author reminds me in many poignant stories how God truly works. All things are in His hands.
The book reminded me of 'Trusting God' by Jerry Bridges. Both books gave me a peace about knowing I could trust God with my life & experiences.
Non-Fiction, Sci-Fi, and Classic Fiction bibiophile.
in general, i love books read by the author and the Grand Weaver did not disappoint. I was encouraged to self-examine and inspired to see the possibilities of a life given to God's will.
Ravi uses stories to get the reader thinking about the complex idea of purpose in terms of tangible, relate-able, events.
So good that i have now bought the paperback for my notes.
I've experienced both. I enjoyed hearing Ravi's tender voice delivering his message of love.
Regarding apologetics I believe Rabi Zacharias is one of the best if not the best militant in my personal opinion, the man knows his word, and eficiently transforms ignorance into enlightment with the help of the word of God. GREAT BOOK.
I greatly enjoyed listening to this book in my car. I really appreciated Ravi sharing his many words of wisdom as well as personal stories. My only regret was when it was over.
This book proved to be exactly what I needed when I needed it. I had just about finished reading it when I encountered a French girl who had been reading Fredrick Neitche in a coffee shop who was seeking life's truths. Her two month holiday in the U.S. was ending and she was finding no answers to the questions plaguing her heart. Over the next 2 1/2 hrs. we talked through her worldviews and the light of the Gospel began shedding upon her heart. She said it felt as though a key was unlocking in her heart. God used the Grand Weaver to help me discourse with her, probe her heart & thoughts and to apply God's Word upon her heart. I will forever be thankful for this resource being upon my heart and mind as I spoke to this young lady.
I really enjoyed this book, particularly as it was Ravi Zacharias reading it himself.
It has left me with much to think about and changes to consider for my life.
I love how Ravi 'wove' the book and used the theme of weaving throughout, very skilfully. It made the book flow very well. I also love Ravi's use of story both to illustrate and to illuminate. It helps ideas and thoughts to stick in the mind.
I will definitely come back to this book to listen again as it was so rich in treasures of wisdom and good, sound teaching rooted in the Bible.
Thanks for a great book, brilliantly read. :-)
Very good, loved every bit. Could listen again and again. Well recommend to anyone looking for answers to life
