Befriended by a kindly sea captain, Emma-Lee and Aunt Augusta discover courage, renewed hope, and the importance of family in this transcendent story of healing and redemption through God's unconditional love.
Inspired by a true story, The Distant Shore is a powerful blend of action, adventure, romance, and the quest within each of us to find our heart's home. Love, after all, is never too lost or too late.

I was given this audiobook in exchange for a honest reviews. My heart is right this moment so swelled with emotion and joy of the bueaty of the storyline. I am in awe of it true love of God and family ties. The narrator is Lee Ann Howlett who has so much talent and voice scale I am amazing and overjoyed to listen to everything she does.
I'll probably let my children listen to it next.
The way the story teller reminds me of a dear aunt or sweet grandmother lively reading a bedtime story to her children, with voices and a good tone.
This is an old timey story and she gave it a good old timey feel. Reminded me of Anne of Green Gables.
