Publisher's summary

Best-selling author Anne Graham Lotz will teach you how to pray effectively for your nation, for your families, and for yourself.

Many people today find that their prayers don't work. And like a broken cell phone, DVD player, or TV remote, they throw prayer out as unnecessary clutter in their busy lives. Anne Graham Lotz has found that while prayer does work, sometimes the pray-ers don't. So she has turned to the prophet Daniel for help.

The Daniel Prayer is born deep within your soul, erupts through your heart, and pours out on your lips, words created by and infused with the Spirit of God, quivering with spiritual electricity. It's really not an everyday type of prayer. It's a prayer birthed under pressure. Heartache. Grief. Desperation. It can be triggered by a sudden revelation of hope. An answer to prayer, a promise freshly received, a miracle that lies just over the horizon...

Join Anne in a thrilling discovery of prayer that really works. The book also includes some of her original prayers that demonstrate the principles taught in The Daniel Prayer.

My New Favorite Book

If you could sum up The Daniel Prayer in three words, what would they be?

Powerful! Insightful! Refreshing!

What other book might you compare The Daniel Prayer to and why?

I cannot compare it to another book because I have not read a book that provided such insight into praying effective, fervent prayers like this one. So far, this book stands on its own.

Have you listened to any of Anne Graham Lotz’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I love Anne and her family. They have inspired generations, and this "performance" is in true Graham fashion. You can hear her sincerity, honesty, and vulnerability in her voice as she tells stories of personal tragedies and triumphs, and ministers how she overcame them by praying how Daniel prayed. Her reading the book takes it to a new level! No voice actor could do it justice.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I can't say I had an extreme reaction, but I had a powerful revelation! This book answered many questions, and helped me realize just how negligent I am in my prayer life and walk with God. It moved me to a new level and understanding. It convicted me with truthful reality. It blessed me with refreshing insight. And it stirred me in a way I haven't felt in quite some time.

Any additional comments?

I highly recommend this book to everyone! It is that good!

Provoking and Powerful

Anne did a masterful job in unpacking the Daniel Prayer and challenging each of us to press in and not give up in lifting our prayers to God.

Awesome Read

This book describes the world in it's disobedience today. But God is faithful and just time and time again, while waiting for the world to acknowledge that He is in control and we could do nothing without prayer and true repentance towards his will and purpose for each of our lives.

An Inspirational Call To Learn Pray Like Daniel

I enjoyed the passion that Anne wrote with, it revealed Anne’s love and confidence for God. At times I felt like her challenge was too difficult but Anne balanced her call to prayer with reminding the reader that God’s love enabled Daniel and He will do the same for others.

Anne captivated me throughout the book.

I have listened to coutless audiobooks, and I believe she is one of my favorites. She narrates her books and you are so pulled into her words that you hang on her every word. I always feel a little let down at the end as its over...... highly recommend all of her books.

Vibrant prayer life is needed today as Daniels

We had heard that Daniels prayed was a blessing,, and were deffinately not disappointed IIts message is needed especially at this time, which Mrs Lotz points out without dwelling excaessively on the negatives ..Practical on prayer in believers life!

OUTSTANDING BOOK!

What made the experience of listening to The Daniel Prayer the most enjoyable?

it's the Word of God yet explained with clarity, preached with conviction, communicated with challenge and relayed with relevance to what we're facing in the United States today.

What did you like best about this story?

How the author made the story of Daniel from the Bible relevant to what we face today in our government. How she challenged me to follow Daniel's example in the similar situations we face in the U.S. today. Daniel leaned into Babylonian culture as far as he could yet without ever compromising. He showed courage. He showed commitment to God and God's ways.

Have you listened to any of Anne Graham Lotz’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I listen to the author speak often and this writing is consistent with her outstanding knowledge of the Bible and her ability to communicate in a convicting, culturally relevant way to inspire and motivate the listener to action.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Offering HOPE in a hopeless generation.

Good message over cooked

Way longer than necessary. The message was good but could have been presented in an hour.
