Guy with Weird Interests
I don't know why Audible lists the narrator as Grover Gardner. John Ratzenberger is the reader, and he does a great job of it. I kind of got the feeling that I was having a one sided conversation with Cliff from Cheers, but that was a good thing. I got a lot of information from the book, but it rapidly shifts from one chapter to the next, and sometimes if I wasn't listening carefully, I wasn't sure what book of the Bible he was talking about. This was a minor problem however, and it's a book that I think I would enjoy listening to several more times. I learned so much from my first listen.
Great start for people who want to get into the stories of the bible. I recomend this before tackling the big book itself.
A breezy romp through the text. I thought it hit the highlights, as promised.
None I can think of.
Clear and understandable.
The humor in the chapter titles probably are more effective in the print version. In audio delivery, the humor sound a bit lame and once in a while, no respectful. I know that was not the intent.
